Simply Wall Street put Fair Value for Petrotal ..at Β£ 1 .72 pence a share ... Anyone deeply unhappy with this valuation?? ..π°π°π°π°..π°π€
Many Thanks for the different replies....I am just thinking the 2 nd Quarter results were during the period when the price of oil was at a low point which ..at least to me ..makes the results results look even more impressive ..what will the next quarter be like with the recent large gain in thr price of oil .???
P S ...The sofa is a large 4 seater ....easy to stash a lot off money underneath ποΈποΈπ°π°π°π°π°
I had a spare Β£25000 behind the back of the sofa so decided to buy shares in this company yesterday on what looks good technicals ...I know nothing about the company but decided to read the Q2 results RNS ...In the RNS there is a statement of an ex dividend day 30 th August and payment on the 15 th September with a big dividend payout equal to around 18 % per Annum... However I cannot seem to find any information when I went to an independent dividend webpage to verify this ....I was just wondering if there is a more longer term shareholder who has good knowledge of this company who can confirm the above information....An advanced many thanks for any replies on the subject.. Regards Lenin
Yes maybe your right ..but my point was sub 1 and 1/2 % per Annum dividend is very paltry for a company that is cash rich in the energy sector ..It is to easy for potential investors to shop around and get a much bigger reward at the moment in this sector..
Okay....I know it is not exactly comparing apples and oranges but I have a much more substantial holding in Petrotal Corp as well as UJO .Like UJO they are going through a cash rich period in the energy sector....Unlike UJO they are rewarding their share holders handsomely with a decent share buyback and a quarterly dividend of equal to around 18 % per Annum. Compare this to the reward the long term suffering share holders at UJO are getting who are currently receiving a miserly dividend which is maybe around minus 1 and 1/2 %. per Annum ..No wonder D B does not want to buy shares in his own company..He know there is not a decent return .!!! π€―. Come on UJO board ...with Β£17 million in the bank surely share holders can be better rewarded ...If not it is to easy for potential investors to vote with their feet ( or money ) find an energy company that will reward them ....
Mr Jack Of Diamonds ...At least the Captain of the Titanic had a proper reason for the sinking of the ship ( namely hitting an iceberg π§) ..What Iceberg has there been for UJO .? .It seems like the better the background fundamentals the worst the share price preforms ...This simply defies logicπ€―
Apparently when.. The Titanic ..was sinking into the sea the last message from the Captain to his crew was...Be British. I just wondered what sort of message DB would like to send to share holders while we watch this share price sink south to 20 pence ..π€―
With this company there has never been any direct connection between the rising price of oil and the share price since potential investor money usaully will usaully go for more well known energy stocks such as Shell/ BP / Harbour/ Tullow etc etc ..... Obviously revenues of Β£17 millions for a company of this size is simply not impressive for the market ...a much bigger figure will need to be announced before investors will start to take notice...but one can only wonder what sort of revenues figure would have to be announced to achieve this !!!..30 millions ? 50 millions ? 100 millions??!!!π€―....
An Oil price collapse looks incredibly unlikely...The Saudis will stop at nothing to get the price higher as I think they need WTi around $80 dollars a barrel to finance current expenditure for their economy...They will possibly continue the July / August cuts into September..
Not just that but he would have to explain away to shareholders...why it is okay for the board to financially benefit from UJO in terms of decent salaries etc ...but also why the longer term shareholders have had to put up with an abysmal share price prefomance after all these years ...They will think they have a right to benefit as well..
I am not trying to wind up any shareholder
But there is a recipe here of a company with increasing profits but with a share price that may possibly continue a downtrend ( but that is not a prediction of course) ....Sounds like a recipe for a takeover if this pattern was to continue....Or is there no chance of that happening???
