One thing for shareholders who do not like the idea of a dividend should bear in mind is the fact we have now moved into a period of higher inflation...Why does this matter????..... Because if as an example a shareholder became a UJO investor exactly 5 years ago ( this is just an example) their total gain over this period of time would have been just over 9 % when allowing for the different movements of the share price...This gain would have been wiped out just in the last 12 months alone ( and this does not include the previous 4 years ) when one considers that inflation is now running at over 9 % as well....Now I know that most people here are hoping for a big jump in the share price in the near future....But as nothing in relation to share trades can be absolutely guaranteed.....what if we still found that the share price was around the 30 pence mark this time next year ????...The dividend would at least provide some ( if not total ) compensation for the loss of monetary share value in relation to the effects of inflation....This has not been a major problem since the 1970s but now is a very major problem for anyone trying to preserve the value of their wealth ....I personally take the evil of inflation so seriously I have diversified to make sure I get a much higher dividend to combat the effects of inflation on my SIPPS pension....But each investor must make their own choices on how best to combat inflation of course....

The dividend is definitely the better option as it is easier to measure the benefit to the shareholder...What are the effect of a share buyback....Well looking at companies such as Lloyd's / Taylor Wimpy/ Foxtons/ etc who have been buying back their own shares ...all it seems to have resulted in are very large share price drops during these difficult economic times with hardly any noticable difference to equivalent companies who have not completed share buybacks ...

If you do not like UJO then why not go somewhere like Vodafone???? ...There is not much volatility with their share price...but unlike UJO there is also a very much lower chance to make a decent amount of money in a reasonable period of time. .. Nothing is guaranteed with shares but UJO is as good as any out there at the moment... especially with the uncertain economic times we live in ..

The London Rental Sector for Foxtons appears very strong at the moment...with annual rental prices across the capital rising over 15% in the last 3 months with potential renters outbid by counter offers from other potential renters....Now the market has opened up again post pandemic..there is a strong interest in the London Rental Sector from overseas investors from places such as India/Saudi Arabia/ Qatar and Kuwait where as traditionally investors came more from the Far East ....

Many thanks..the thing I am puzzling over ...are the proceeds from Victory enough or not enough to continue to develop West Newton ?? Is there a chance of some sort of placing ?.. Unless there is a clear assurance from the top ,investors maybe very nervous to go back in ....

Many thanks for your reply....I wondered how you had faired after my awful tip..I am very happy you got out with a profit...I did as well but there was a sting in the tail ....I had a £13000 investment believing after the Victory Sale the share price would return somewhere between .60 to .80 where it tended to be before poor news from West Newton started to be released a while ago ....When I realized the news on Victory would be delayed I started to think October would be the earliest for any news ...Off course in the meantime the share price was slowly climbing into the .40s but I decided because off the delay there maybe some sort off pullback in the share price...So I sold out with just a £4000 profit...but foolishly because I believed this time round Reabold could not possibly release yet another poor RNS decided to go back in with a much smaller amount £3000 ...For that I took a £1000 loss ....So overall a reasonable profit under the circumstances but then a haircut on the profit !!!..The odd thing about it is I kept on wishing for the RNS to be released sooner rather than later ... but had my wish have been granted then I would have been looking at a big loss instead of a profit!!!!....It is just how the balance of probabilities can work either for or against a shareholder... To Pappalaz ....I am just posting to give you ..A Personal Apology... for a reply I posted to you regarding Reabold on the 9 th September....You wanted to know as you had brought £600 worth off Reabold shares off any information that may make the stake worthwhile...I posted if you held your £600 in Reabold until the sale off Victory you would be laughing all the way to the bank with over a grand in your pocket !!!..With hindsight this is probably the worst tip I have ever given in my life ...I hang my head in shame .... Possibly a better tip with Reabold ...is wait until any RNS has been released and then invest your money a little while afterwards !!!!....I only wish the Two Directors would... APOLOGIZE..for a very glossy YouTube Video that I remember seeing last year in which they said once the Victory Sale was successful the value off the Reabold share would be unlocked for investors ..!!!!... Unlocked for a crash landing is a more description!!!...For the sake off clarity I have now taken my holding out and moved into Foxtons estate agent for the time being...but I wish all the loyal shareholders here a change off fortunes and better success with Reabold in the near future ....

Err ... You have obviously not understood the message.....I did say a shareholder with more dedicated knowledge of Foxtons...I was not expecting a scientific thesis....I would be happy with just a simple awnser such as approximately 1/2 way along the share buyback.( etc )...Unlike you I am aware shareholders make up many different types when holding shares in a company...Some will be very loyal and dedicated to that one company and know lock stock and barrel all the information regarding that company...There are others such as myself who may own a multitude off shares and may know the basics off each company but not all the fine detail as there would simply be to much to research on each company....... Remember... Shareholders Are A BROAD CHURCH!!!!...

As a new shareholder yesterday I went through a few off the RNSs and realized Foxtons is in the process off a share buy back ...I was just wondering if a shareholder here with much more knowledge off Foxtons than me is able to say how far down the path Foxtons are with their share buyback./ how much more to complete the process...An advance many thanks for anyone who takes the time to reply... Oddly enough I have made large gains on both U J O and Reabold as I only sold out only a few days ago but went back in again within the last couple off days on both which much smaller position sizes ...today and yesterday on both it felt like being punched in the face two times over !!! ... However I forgive UJO much more than Reabold..Good luck to all shareholders here ....

Lightning does strike for anyone who may hold shares ( such as myself ) in UJO and Reabold ..UJO s RNS was not to bad but it has lead to a mass sell off their shares and today's Reabolds RNS which although is a very big disappointment ( but by no means a disaster RNS) has achieved pretty much the same effect ...

I have enough spare cash in a SIPPS pension to buy fairly large equal instalments at every 5 pence interval all the way into single penny figures ... Should any share holder be in the same position this is an easy situation to make a bucket load off money!!!!

That's simple to awnser ...The relationship between the share price and the fundamentals do not follow one another exactly but rather it is a loose coralation as it takes a while for potential new or existing shareholders to catch up with the situation....As an example take a look at a completely unrelated company such as Cineworld whos finances are the complete opposite of UJO .( In other words they are billions in debt ) ... Although this situation with that company has existed for quite a while it was not until a long while afterwards that many Cineworld shareholders suddenly panicked and then the Cineworld share price suddenly collapsed ...This works the other way around as well for companies such as UJO which has very good finances...

Notice how all these derampers make their points but are simply.. at a loss to explain ...how the share price has multiplied almost three fold since February...They just don't get the relationship between the share price and the fundamentals...
