.....Approved:
The Botswana Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (“PPADB”) approves the request
from Ministry of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security (MMGE) to open
the financial proposal in relation to the Company’s gas to power tender;
Tlou has now received confirmation of the PPADB decision to approve the Ministry’s request to open
the Financial Proposal in respect of Tlou Energy Limited and Sekaname (Pty) Ltd which both submitted
proposals for the 100 MW project and which achieved technical scores of 89.8% and 86.4% respectively
in the tender.
The Company looks forward to a positive decision on its Financial Proposal (the final stage of the RFP
process) in due course.
From RNS 7 June 2018:
"The Client is to pay, quarterly in advance, a non-refundable prepayment of US $375,000 against future deliveries (payments are due in June, September and December 2018)
The minimum 4,000 tons per month sales requirement, currently stipulated in the Contract, will be suspended UNTIL 1 March 2019, offset by the US $375,000 quarterly prepayment"
Should we not have information regarding this agreement by now?
Highlights
? The Lesedi 3 development pod has been completed with surface production equipment now installed and operational;
? The Lesedi 4A lateral well has been successfully drilled;
? Drilling is underway at the Lesedi 4B lateral well, being the final well in the current program;
? The Company will provide further updates as both production testing and drilling operations
progress.
The Company can confirm that drilling operations at Lesedi 3 have been completed. Lateral well Lesedi
3A was drilled ~1,437m Measured Depth (MD) and Lesedi 3B was drilled ~1,440m MD with both lateral
wells successfully intersecting with vertical well Lesedi 3P to complete the dual lateral pod.
Lesedi 3 is now being prepared for installation of production facilities prior to the commencement of
de-watering and lowering of the pressure in the coal seam to achieve gas flow.
The drilling rig is being moved to commence drilling of the second planned development pod, Lesedi 4.
The Company will provide further updates as the drilling operations progress.
The development drilling program is being conducted in accordance with health and safety
requirements and are consistent with the Company’s approved environmental impact statement. If
results are positive, these wells will form part of the Company’s initial gas-to-power project which will
include installation of transmission lines and grid connection

-- A ground-based EM Survey has commenced, designed to identify nickel sulphide conductors for follow-up drill testing.
-- Following an aircore drilling programme in early 2018, a geological review of the Hanns Camp Project was completed in conjunction with Dr Martin Gole. Results of this work confirmed the presence of three valid target areas, Hanns Camp South, Royal North and Royal Central prospects as potentially hosting komatiite lava channel-facies rocks.
Commenting, John Peters, Managing Director, Strategic Minerals said:
"Further work by our geologists and our Nickel expert, Dr. Martin Gole, has highlighted three additional high priority areas for potential nickel sulphide mineralisation within our Hanns Camp tenements. The commencement of the EM Survey over the targets is a key step in the identification of drilling targets."
Update of Drilling operations
Tlou Energy Limited is currently drilling pilot production wells at the Lesedi CBM Project ('Lesedi') in Botswana. If successful, these wells will form part of the Company's initial gas-to-power project which will include installation of transmission lines and grid connection. The wells are located in close proximity to the Company's planned central processing facility.
The wells will be drilled as 'dual lateral pods', comprising a single vertical production well, intersected by two lateral (or horizontal) wells. The lateral wells will be drilled through the gassy coal seam, with gas extracted from this coal produced through the vertical production well where it can be gathered and used for power generation.
Up to three pods are planned. Pod one is designated 'Lesedi 3' and comprises a vertical production well ('Lesedi 3P') and two lateral wells ('Lesedi 3A' & 'Lesedi 3B'). Pod two is designated 'Lesedi 4' and pod three is designated 'Lesedi 5'. Vertical production wells Lesedi 3P and Lesedi 4P have been completed. The Lesedi 5P top-hole section has also been drilled. This pod will be completed subject to results from Lesedi 3 and 4 in order to retain optionality. Following completion of the top-hole section of Lesedi 5P, drilling of the top-hole section of lateral well Lesedi 3A commenced.
The drilling program will continue over the coming weeks and into early 2019. Once all six wells for pods one and two have been drilled, these pods will be completed using a separate workover rig and surface production facilities will be installed. The wells will then begin production testing to de-water and lower the pressure in the coal seam to achieve gas flow. The Company will provide further updates as the drilling program progresses.
Vertical well ‘Lesedi 3P’ has been drilled and reached a total depth of 575m
Drilling has commenced at the second vertical well ‘Lesedi 4P’ which was spudded on 4 November 2018
Program aims to provide gas flow data in the area where the initial project development is proposed
Wireline logs were acquired over the open hole interval of Lesedi 3P. The well intersected the Lower
Morupule coal seam, which is the target seam for dual lateral wells, planned to be drilled for approximately 700m in‐seam, which will then intersect with Lesedi 3P.
The rig was released from location on Friday 2 November and then set up at the Lesedi 4P location. Lesedi 4P was spudded on 4 November 2018. Operations at Lesedi 4P will follow the same program as for Lesedi 3P. The well is planned to be drilled to a proposed total depth of approximately 580m.
