RE: No seismic data publication = this stinks more9 Jul 2019 14:22
Reality check gents:
1- the compressor will NOT increase by 7 times the current gas that Ascent can sell. IF it were here now, it would increase the quality by about 7 times (I don't recall the actual figure being that high TBH). BUT because the installation of the compressor is still several months away (I can't recall when exactly.), the gas output will have decreased even more so it will be about however many times that decreased amount, but NOT today's amount.
2- reselling the compressor - I can't recall having heard that. And considering that we were told explicitly in February that a compressor is not a "plug and play / turnkey" piece of equipment, but built for the specs of the gas field, it supports the view that it cannot just be resold easily.
3- IF one person's claim that he/she received an e-mail from CH saying that the seismic data wouldn't be released anymore because all field development is now on hold (I don't think anyone corroborated that claim though.) is indeed true, then we cannot at the same time expect news of whatever form about the rest of the field. It's one or the other folks.
4- a PI on the board: a nice idea but everyone here has been keyboard warriors. Or deluded cheerleaders (Fran being the big boss of them all). Or people seriously distorting what has been said or not said by the BoD (e.g. claiming that John B stated he would buy shares back in February - he never said anything remotely like that at all).
Everyone with good business and/or investment sense is probably gone IMO - I recall one holder who was very company law and investment savvy (he was the largest PI in the company) who sold it all between late 2016 and early 2017 as new delays mounted...
Now all that holders can hope for is that the BoD will find somebody who will think that the legal case is strong enough, and will be willing to fund the action. I was actually surprised and underwhelmed by the legal arguments relied upon personally, and it makes me think that Ascent actually poured money with much fewer guarantees and legal back-up than I thought it did...
