Swissy - I guess if you add at 19p, and it does fall back to 16/17p, you can be reasonably confident that it will eventually return back to the current levels at least, if not the 25p?

The curse of CMET strikes again. Company just seems to move from one mishap into another. This has likely put production back by a further 6-12 months? You do wonder about the whole thing, from the MOU with the LB Group that never came to anything, to now the preferred party pulling out last minute.

There you have it and there was always a risk about Sheffield's means. The BOD decided to go with Sheffield, rather than the LB Group, and this is the outcome. There is no way the LB Group would have pulled out over finances.

Now it's back to exploration drilling and I suspect more dilution. What will the Sri Lankan authorities make of this as well you wonder, after all the promises about big investment and jobs.

Worth watching HEX closely. Could just as easily bounce off 19p and then everyone has a support level again. Wondering whether to add here and them buy some more if it falls back to 16/17p.

I wonder whether the problem with BCE was the placing immediately beforehand. It meant that although there was a rise in the share price, it was a more modest one to 0.7p, and most folk didn't see it as the top?

HEX needs to hold 19p, otherwise I can see it falling back to the 16s. Looks very much like a double top playing out at the moment. Need to confirm their drill plans I guess.

Does this mean the Prospectus can be issued, or only that the final version can be submitted to the FCA for approval. If so, will that process not take months because of delays at the FCA?

AIM doesn't react well to uncertainty and delays. There is too much of that here, with the deal and with things like drilling. Because of the liquidity situation here, the moves down will be big. Flip side is that they should be equally big if or when good news lands. But the longer this takes, the more sells that will hit and the price goes down.

I note that Sheffield's share price hasn't recovered from its recent big drop, and looks like it might drop again. Have we go to the bottom of why it's fallen - and whether that has any risks for this deal with CMET?

As long as price holds above 19p, we should be okay. All depends on how much profit taking/de-risking is left from pre IPO and early entrants.

So far it looks like the much of the placing is going to be absorbed in the 2.2 to 2.3p range. Difficult to see it falling lower than this given the high demand at these prices already.

I would say it takes about 2 to 3 years of learning in the Casino, before you start to make money in it.

I am sure KR will make a decent catch soon. I read somewhere that 80% of your gains, are made from just 20% of your trades! Sounds about right to me.

Woeful performance when it comes to timescales. I mean, how did he ever think it would be done by end of April with everything that he is now saying about the deal?

I think it's because DQE mobilisation will happen quite quickly, which creates a sense of imminent upside. The placing has been well timed from that perspective by the company. Anything can (and probably will) go wrong with the future plans, so get the large cash injection in now whilst the going is good and sentiment is strong.

As for Tro - dude is on over 100 000 posts. I'd wager that 90 000 of those are just pointless commentary on ticker movements, which I simply don't get what the purpose is behind them? Does he think he is running some kind of free share commentary service for day traders or something? Or maybe I have completely missed the purpose behind them.

Thanks ID78 - one of the first things that I look at on AIM is the finances and the history/pattern of fund raises. I recently exited a large position in Char, because the finances turned out to be worse than I thought. People think that I mention "placing" to de-ramp. But where I have mentioned a placing, usually one has followed. Let's be honest, the real reason people get miffed is because they didn't heed those warnings and got caught with their pants down. This dude Horult is a case in point. Because he got caught up in a placing, he doesn't like others to then benefit from it and you get an emotional outburst.

Similarly, a few on here are still miffed because I correctly called the placings in He1 last year, which warnings some of them ignored and then paid the price! Buddies when the going is good, but shoot or get upset at the messenger when it's not. They all ramp and de-ramp when it suits them, but also like to call it out when others do it!

I read somewhere that you usually need to trade 2 or 3 times the placing volume to clear its overhang. Don't know if that is just one person's rough rule of thumb, or has some merit behind it. The placing shares don't actually officially hit until next week, and so I usually like to wait for their admission before thinking the coast is clear. Also to see what happens when the initial buying volume starts to reduce.

Err... I've had people here willing a share that I am in to go down, so that they can get into it at a cheaper price. I don't take offense at that because this is AIM, and so everything is fair game. I've seen folk here ramp and de-ramp shares based on their personal holdings. Pretty much everyone does it. We don't owe each other anything. We can share tips, debate pros and cons, but when we go into the casino, we go in as individuals, and win or lose as individuals.

As for Troajan - have you checked the bb that he prefers to post on. Mostly (loony) posts about politics and conspiracy theories. I don't recall ever getting anything useful from him and don't feel the loss at all, like others might do. What a wet blouse for 'leaving' anyway!

And why shouldn't I ambulance chase a placing or ask questions on a BB about it? LOADS of people enter on a placing, as it's usually a good time to enter. It's also in the interests of LTH that newbies come on board following a placing, because the more buying power there is, the more the chance that they get back to breakeven. Not rocket science!

I wasn't actually aiming anything at you Horult. I was making the more general point that it is risky to be a LTH on most AIM shares. What is wrong with offering that thought, when we are meant to be sharing our experiences with each other.

Some of you are far too emotional and whine at others when things go wrong with your buys. I'm actually sick and tired of the emotional outbursts. I couldn't care less what you think.

You have to give away heavy discounts these days in order to do a large raise. Also, he couldn't indicate a raise at the AGM, as that would have tanked the share price and resulted in even more dilution.

I've made an initial entry on this placing. I do think buying or averaging now will be well timed in terms of newsflow, with mobilisation of DQE expected in July. Company is now fully cashed up and will be producing as well. These should be load up prices?
