Well tests can generally be classified as either productivity or descriptive tests. Productivity tests are carried out to obtain representative samples of reservoir fluids and to determine fluid-flow capacity at specific reservoir static and flowing pressures. On the other hand, E&P companies schedule descriptive tests when they need to estimate a reservoir’s size and flow capacity, analyze horizontal and vertical permeability and determine reservoir boundaries (above). Productivity testing typically seeks to obtain stabilized bottomhole pressures over a range of different flow rates. Successive rate changes are made by adjusting choke size, which is not done until continual measurements have determined
that bottomhole pressures and temperatures have stabilized.
Unlike testing to obtain stabilized bottomhole measurements, descriptive tests require transient- pressure measurements. Pressure transients are induced by step changes in surface production rates and can be measured by bottomhole pressure sensors or permanent downhole pressure gauges. The changes in production cause pressure perturbations that propagate from the wellbore to the surrounding formation. These pressure pulses are affected by fluids and geological features within the reservoir. While they might travel straight through a homogeneous formation, these pulses may be hindered by low-permeability zones, or may vanish entirely when they enter a gas cap. By recording wellbore pressure response over time, the operator can obtain a pressure curve that is influenced by the geometry of geological features and the particular fluids contained within the reservoir.’

Penguins, I would be very surprised if there wasn’t scope to increase the flow rates. There is no evidence to demonstrate that flows aren’t being intentionally restricted. There is evidence that actual flow rate has not been a primary consideration in the testing process to date.

It begs the question that once the testing required to obtain the required data for the CPR is complete, will SS look to steadily increase daily production, for the remainder of the test production period?

The European Court has recently made a ruling stating that Article 50 can be rescinded at the request of the U.K. brexit deal voted down. Vote of no confidence next. 2nd referendum now not impossible. I think the deal should be put to the people. The Brexit campaign was demonstrably based on a number dishonest hooks, which are lot of people are now wise to. If the gov goes to the people with the deal they propose then the electorate can make an informed decision in the cold light of day, with all the relevant facts, and if Brexit is still a goer then we go, if not we don’t.

Hatman, you have lost me. If I had actively considered BP or Total buying out HH then I might have some numbers, not that I would share them if I did. However, it is not something I have actively considered. Rather, I commented on the rumours. I was simply stating that if rumours that BP and or Total were looking at HH were true then I would not be surprised. Likewise if either co. bid for HH I would also not be surprised. Without knowing what the offer was I could not really analyse the offer further. I..e if there was a rumour that they bid 20 p or 30p then you or I could analyse the figures and form our own opinion as to whether the rumour was correct. To date there is no RNS stating that a buy out offer has been made. If one is made we can discuss at that point whether or not it is reasonable. Fair?

I’m also excited by the idea that ‘test production’ other than the name is not materially different to production. Oil is still coming out of the ground, it is still going into tankers. It is still getting sold. It will continue until ‘production commences. If it looks like. A duck, quacks like a duck, it probabably is a ...well you know the rest.....

I am also excited by the fact that HH is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of ukog’s assets. How many other Weild Oilers have the acreage that Ukog has?
