carrillion catching a cold on this one. instead of cutting the loss short have straddled the bet. i.e. can't get bigger. have to wait for reversal to cash in short profit and hopefully ride the recovery as originally intended. may even take out another short to go with trend. 90 PER CENT TRADERS LOSE MONEY and AMAZON DEMO CHARTS The real truism of the guy is keep your position size according to your fund. oversized bets can ruin you. cutting your losses short letting your profits run. they either haven't traded or are liars! we have stephen bigalow and the Tline. hold on to your losses they will come good eventually. Ignore his insistence not to use indicators, I agree they can clutter a chart BUT they are useful tools especially the 3 ema's 3,8 and 54 also stochastics 12.3.3, fibonacci, sma's 20,50,100,200 and bollinger bands. I stick to the 3 emas and stochastics for a clean clutter free chart. temporarily add the others for additional confirmation one at a time then delete them forex4noobs Forex trading is not easy. usd/cad see how powerful the ema54 brown line is for acting as resistance and staying in a downtrend. yes a lagging indicator but useful tool. the arrogance of forex4noobs to dismiss indicators beggars belief. he's good for planning trades, risk reward ratio and stop loss though. price chart is classic example of the following; the trend is your friend; short if price closes below ema54 close short if price closes above T line consider locking in profit if price is too far ahead of T line sell the short retrace cut losses short let profits run sell and hold is for mugs regarding the latter which kinda contradicts let profits run it is far more profitable to actively trade than simply sell and hold I can see at least 20 winning trades selling price below ema54 buying above T line, buying aboveT line selling below ema and perhaps 4 losers generating more profitable pips than simply sell and hold. http://content.screencast.com/users/LEFKOSIA/folders/Default/media/ab0e89f6-8cba-4005-93b5-f895356da785/USD%20CAD%20JLY%202717chart.png GLITA
