EUR/USD yesterday's trades almost went pear shaped but rescued by partial straddle this morning i was in a can't lose situation but not so during the night. lack of discipline led me to trade late in the day knowing my carer was coming to put me to bed 7- 7.30 was convinced price was going to crash so took out 2 shorts. it did not so at 7.30 had to cover my position by taking out 1 long. should have been 2 longs to fully cover my 2 shorts. price raced ahead overnight illustrating that following gut instinct and predicting future price movement is DANGEROUS AND DOWNRIGHT SILLY. Good morning flexmw As Brombarb keeps reiterating 88e is essentially a fundas and news share. News is awaited anytime now which could blow price in either direction so to rely on chart formations like cup and handle, j hook, head and shoulders could be dangerous imo. better to rely on price action at the moment using perceived support and resistance and of course the BLUE T LINE, the RED EMA3 and the BROWN EMA 54 for entry and exit decisions. a lot also depends on which investment/trading strategy one is using and therefore which time frame chart one is using also imo for instance longer term strategists using the daily chart have done extremely well using the T line. buying in at 1p on 1 nov 2017 and having a 3 bagger recently when price breached MY perceived resistance of 2.8/9p very briefly. other chartists may have a different perception so a 300% increase is more than respectable in 7 months. most fund managers would be more than pleased with a 10% increase in 12 months. Daily chart below I can identify your cup and handle also a J hook forming BUT both have broken down and we are in a bear trend within an overall bull trend. I have cut my last trade loss short at £200 as the bounce on a shorter time frame has fizzled out and MY perceived support of 2.65 has marginally been breached. There is the danger of getting whipsawed so for now am content to stay out. if we get a stonking good rns i will miss out but am content with my net profit of approx £2k in one month. every little bit helps Rothschild's family's enormous wealth was build on selling too soon.
