I see SP is at 20% discount to Net Asset Value, and Shares held in Treasury through the Buy Back will only be released at a premium to Net Asset value…

So with a reasonable Dividend in play, anyone have any concerns about holding???

I agree, yet on some BB around that I frequent, I see lots of people cheering for their favourite Dictator Trump and snivelling ankle snapper JD Vance.

Worrying times IMO, because I remember very clearly how Trump played the Markets last time with his Tweet's, this time he's playing with people's lives and Continents Economies.

There's an argument to be made and accepted that Europe has been sleeping and enjoying USA protection for too long, but damn this is quick, sharp correction in understanding on what's ahead of us now.

I supported Trump over Biden, because Biden and Co were aweful.... But I dDo wish that Trump had better opposition because the next 4 years ( potentially another Term if Dictator Trump has his own way ) are going to be Tragic IMO..

reading your comment, I’d like to post something I’ve just read to counter your comments, because I too thought the same until recently. it needs putting into context and understanding in a deeper level than just MAGA rhetoric… it goes like this……

The UK could secure major contracts for British companies to service / facilitate Construction & engineering, Energy infrastructure, Digital /infrastructure, Defense industry etc.

Buy Backs are less value to Share Holders over £4.50

Divi's are still reasonable at the current £4.50 level for any investor or Fund.

£5.00 a Share substantially under values BP's business as a whole.

I never liked their business model, or similarly their competitors..

Encouraging mostly Migrants to come and work in a false economy, flying around the streets at 30mph a danger to other road users, for people too lazy to cook proper food or get off their axx to get it themselves.

Mostly spongers on Benefits that buy their kids Mc Donalds instead of cooking..

Crackers business model, but "supply the Demand" of the feckless Brits watching their Love Island or other crap reality TV, while being so far removed from reality.

BP focuses on what’s it’s always been, Oil & Gas, but creates a 2nd listing for all the ESG Champions, rather than dragging down the complete business with the less profitable and more challenging sectors, we’ll spin them all out into a secondary listing and self funded.

I was referring to Jakers post, regarding lack of BB that was announced but with the update on Wednesday, maybe Elliot’s involvement has put a spanner in the works or focused the Boards minds on direction, be it BB’s, Divi’s, Debt management, Sales of assets or even future investments. I also suggested “as my opinion” a few months back, that BB’s over £4.50 may not be great value considering the price range the past year with the peaks and troughs.

Maybe what was going to be announced needs tweaking or updating if there’s now a disrupter in the mix.

BB’s will I suppose increase Elliot’s % holding. I could also suggest that there’s already been and increase in SP from the lows we saw recently below £4, so maybe the jump in SP is a result of Elliot and there’s been a slow slide back again as everyone’s just waiting.

I’d love to be holding more BP shares, I only have 2000 in my ISA. I’d love a decline for another purchase. Although naturally an increase in Divi will also be nice.

Maybe Elliot’s involvement has focused the minds and they are thinking more deeply into any announcements made.
