LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Imperial Energy Corp PLC said Russia's Government Commission For Natural Resources Reserves (GKZ) has confirmed and approved the oil and gas reserves for the group's Sredneglukhovskoye field in western Siberia.

He will not want to lose this battle....but he will be very conscious that in Russia one is expected to share one's good fortune. But the support of the Regional Govenor will provide some degree of protection as the Kremlin looks for Tomsk votes in the elections next year. Mitvol's disasterous tour of the USA is likely to lose him friends in the Kremlin. Apparently he is already refused entry to important meetings when his complaints are adjudicated upon...maybe it is a case of what goes around comes around.

what is really impressive is that someone...possibly fideltity has sold off more £ 10million today and the sp has continued to move up. I guess there is developing confidence in a recovery. Te question is whether in the short term it will go above £10.

Davius Do you recall the exchange we had yesterday afternoon about the 'guarentee issue' there was a rumour at about 3.00 pm one was to be put in place....obviously it was 'killed off' until the markets closed...if only we had followed the rumour trather than the denial
