I think, unofficially Plot 10 is split A and B, with the DMG going on the smaller triangular plot and the remainder of the plot being across the access road (which is the "cleared" area you are referring to).
As far as I can remember, that area was previously cultivated by a local farmer up to a few years ago, and now is just a grass field.
I asked DR at the recent event, was that the likely plot for the ASD development - but he thinks not.

I've attached some links that may help to show the location/geography of where the DMG is planned to be located.
The access road (Grinsome road, previously Kemira Road,) presently provides access to CF Fertilisers and at the roundabout provides access to Plot 10 (DMG), Plot 9A, the biomass facility and other to be developed plots.
I was down there last week and it was as overgrown as ever.

A few taking their 10%/20% trades, but, imo, the longer term gain will be much greater as realisation sets in, regarding the potential of the DMG technology, and how it can contribute to the UK's net zero emission target by 2050.
Good to see increased volume though.

Appear to be gathering some upward sp momentum from general awareness of PHE, rather than from direct RNS news - not before time some may add.
Also, it's quite apt for the first commercial DMG unit to be built on the "Protos" site, with the Protos name meaning "earliest form of" or "first of".
First of many to come, we hope.

Good to see a little upswing in the sp following today's RNS-R, about the BBC programme. I'm sure if PHE hadn't put out a "we are here, and have a solution" RNS-R, then there would have been several mutterings of poor PR etc.
We don't know what communication is happening in the background between the relevant parties, but there needs to be some trust that JH/DR are pushing in the right direction. Obviously, time will tell if this is the case or not.
I see the 25 hydrogen buses planned for Liverpool, and the planned re-fuelling station @ Knowsley got some exposure over the week-end on the NorthWest politics show.

Must admit, that it can be pretty exasperating, knowing that PHE has a good solution to a global problem, and what we see is sp stagnation/slide.
From my discussions with DR at the recent Protos consultation event, he is also exasperated, as he said, he works his backside off and sees the sp fall.
Also, he said, as soon as Planning is approved, he will be the first one out there with a spade - all tongue in cheek, but indicative of the enthusiasm that is pushing the technology forward.
We need to go through due process, - preparation,development,consultation,partnership, planning, construction etc. and then, all things being equal, we will see a commercial DMG delivering what has been promised.
At some key point, in the not too distant future, the penny will drop, with the key players and investors, that the DMG process can be a large part in providing a solution to the massive plastic problem that the WORLD owns at the moment.
The first commercial site is key to this awareness, but it will take a little time, maybe 9 months(IMHO), to achieve this.
In my mind, that's not too much to ask.

No problem providing feedback, glad it's appreciated. As I've mentioned before, it's good to have a pro-climate piece of tech being developed on my back doorstep.
I think it's worth describing the industrial/geographical backdrop of the area to place the PHE/W2T development in perspective.
I describe Ince village as a little oasis amongst the industry, as surrounding us is the Stanlow Oil refinery (great view of the storage tanks from my back garden), Thornton Research Centre,Quinn glass production facility,CF Fertilisers, plus the developments on the Peel owned Protos site (EFW,Biomass facility etc.)
All thanks, I suppose, to it's position with access to the river Mersey, Manchester Ship Canal, M56, and rail links East and West.
The PHE/W2T development is small by comparison to the existing developments, but the two main considerations by the community, normally are traffic and pollution/emissions, and these were the main ones that I heard at the consultations recently.
I specifically asked DR about the level of interest in the tech and he did say there was a considerable amount shown.
IMO I don't think we are likely to see protesters living in trees and lying in front of bulldozers, again only my opinion, due to the level of development that has already occurred and the site being within an Outline Planning area anyway.
Didn't get chance to ask JH about funding specifically, but I would imagine the answers would have been generic anyway, but with the level of eagerness and confidence shown, IMO no reason to think there is a problem.

Just spent a couple of hours across the two consultation sessions in our local community regarding the upcoming Protos development, and spent some time with David Ryan (Powerhouse) and John Hall (Waste2Tricity).

The unit is planned for Plot 10, of the Protos development and it is anticipated that the Planning Application, will be submitted by the end of the month, with an estimated 12- 16 weeks turnaround by Cheshire West Council, but I suppose this will depend on number of applications going through and issues raised in due course.Plot 10 is about 1 acre and the facility will be designed for 25 tonne per day input, with limited scope for further expansion.

David appeared very keen to get things moving and would like to start building work prior to year end with first gas by end of Q1 2020.

The initial intention is to produce syngas to generate electricity (to be fed back into the Protos grid) with hydrogen generation being "bolted on" at a later date. JH did say that ultimately there could be a Hydrogen filling station for use by site traffic.

ASD/Peels application for the plastic shredding plant is totally independent of the PHE/Waste2Tricity application, even though it is planned to be sited on an adjacent plot. A back up supply of feedstock has been arranged by Waste2Tricity if things become out of kilter with the two developments.

On the financial side, as has been stated in previous RNSs, PHE will receive fees for Planning and Engineering design and then a licensing fee when the facility is in production.

Outputs anticipated to be up to 58MWh on solely electricity production, from the daily input, and the capacity to produce 1 tonne hydrogen but with a resulting decrease in electricity production.

All in all, the guys involved appear to be very keen to prove the commercial viability of the technology

Even if anticipated traffic movements were provided with the Outline Planning application for the whole Protos site, I suspect there will be a need to provide supplementary traffic info for each Detailed Planning Application.
As per the Planning Statement (that supported the Planning Application) for the "Energy From Waste" for Plot 8, which detailed monthly average and maximum HGV movements.

On the ground it's not so straight forward.
The only access to the Protos site is via Kemira road, which has recently been widened. Traffic flow around Ince and Elton is an emotive subject, as all traffic to Protos must come down Stanlow Road, then onto Kemira road - to avoid the villages.
Any proposal that has significant impact on traffic flow i.e. to fill up with hydrogen will be carefully scrutinised by all parties. We will need to see the detail of the planning application and the impact of traffic flow and volumes.
There has always been local puzzlement why the M56 never had a junction 13, and whether one would be "inserted" so to speak, as industry built up in the area.

Having looked at the photograph/artists impression from the Peel L&P consultancy note and comparing with the Protos plot designations, it appears that the DMG is proposed for Plot 10 (triangular part), as it looks as though the plot is split by the access road.
The total area for Plot 10 is 1.78 hectares (4.4 acres).
As it was a reasonable afternoon, I had a walk down to the site and paced out the triangular part of Plot 10, and would guesstimate the area to be approx 1 acre or 0.4 hectares.
Though that occurred was that, could it be that the residual of Plot 10 (across the access road) may be for the ASD processing plant.
Don't want to judge too early, but reading up on ASD ( who are in the forefront for providing the plastic feedstock for the DMG plant), the substance appears to be a bit thin and the key link appears to be with Erema for the plastic flaking/shredding technology.
A look at companies house shows quite few ins and outs of personnel for ASD, over short periods of time, and with several company name changes over two or three years.

Seeing as it's pretty quiet on the bb, just thought I would report a little bit of local progress.
Not posted here for a while but I live in Ince village, which is located on the fringe of Ince marshes(where Protos is located) and about half a mile from the Thornton Research centre, where the DMG is in development. As this is a local, environmentally friendly company, developing, what could be a global changing piece of technology, I have invested a few shekels of my hard earned in Powerhouse.
Just prior to Keith's departure, back to California ( which I believe to be due to health problems), my good lady and I, had the good fortune of spending a couple of hours with Keith and David at the demonstration facility at Thornton, to see it in operation and discuss the plans for Powerhouse in the future.
The enthusiasm for the potential of the DMG was palpable, particularly with the developments with Toyota and how it could transform the use of hydrocarbons in vehicle operation, and how they were trying to find a position for the first commercial unit in partnership with Peel Environmental.

The recent local news is that residents have now been invited (by Waste2Tricity) to consultation events, to discuss the proposed planning application at Protos, on the 4th/5th June. The invite does not mention Powerhouse by name, just that the "proposed facility would use innovative technology".
The invite is from John Hall, Waste2Tricity.
Will probably attend both sessions to see if David Ryan is in attendance and will update accordingly.
