Premier Oil also did research but as soon as they reached the bottom of their drill they were off quicker than Usain Bolt out of the starting blocks. l never did understand why they left so fast... They didnt even want to see DWs glossy presentations of the billions of barrels of oil in the ground owned by 88 the same oil that this board salivates over on a daily basis ..still its interesting to have a different perspective on the matter.

Definitely more Bob the builder than BP. But personally l want Bob working on my house and BP on my oil well.. But you pays your money you takes your chance... Why do l keep think about the keystone cops? Perhaps, its because its what l expect

Not even a Tier 2 this time just a band of brothers passing the hat round and hoping for the best.. On a positive note some of them have worked with oil... Well it would be a poor show if they had not.. Perhaps for the next farm out we should pass the hat here and make a bid ourselves after all we also have a few oilers on this board and a few, would be millionaires..

l enjoy reading opinions here about the share.. ive recently built up an ISA holding in Lloyds l believe its a solid investment for the long term , ive no doubt it will see highs and lows in the coming months. perhaps even the highs and lows that some of you are suggesting.... for me this share will be heavily influenced by government policy. in a perfect world the government would sell its shares and put the money back into the treasury but clearly that wont happen south of 80p and that wont happen any time soon. l believe the reinstatement of the dividend would certainly move the share in the 45-50p range depending on the dividend declared, many are talking about a dividend rebased 1-2p perhaps?? But in the worst recession for 300 years the figures will not be pretty for a while yet. and severe losses could make the dividend even lower.. But for me Lloyds is a no brainer ive bought im staying in...im confident 100% that in the long term the dividend will return and grow and the share price will increase... What more can you possibly ask for?

I have a more cautious approach whilst l believe the same as the 50p then on to 55p surely we must go through a Sharp bloodbath of profit taking and manoeuvring during this period of growth. This is normal in such turbulent times and does not worry me because l belive we will come out the other end stronger moving towards a 55-60p range for the 2nd half of 2021

Nothing wrong with taking a profit. personally im waiting for a dividend announcement it may come soon or later but what ever and when ever it comes in my opinion it will boost the share price further

Clearly the sentiment here is negative. I'm just glad l got rid of 90% of my holdings. I no longer have a sick feeling in my stomach every time l receive an 88 email alert wondering what DW has done next. Biting the bullet and taking the massive loss was the best thing l ever did.. Even though it hurt l had to cut out the cancer of 88. Now I'm in FTSE blue chips which have recently done very well indeed so things are much better now with some of those losses already recovered... I know that many of you see me now as a turn coat because l don't tow the "official positive line" you learn from your mistakes and move on.. I still hold 500,000 shares so as far as I'm concerned I'm still holding a lottery ticket.. Unfortunately just like the lottery ticket we holder's could make a lot of money.. But unfortunately a used lottery ticket has no value that would be the same as an unsuccessful drill.. Happy to hold 88 shares but only as a fun share... Good luck to everyone... It could be you

Look on the bright side it could be a massive re-rate on the up side say 10p a share.. Or even a tier one partner.. Certainly not and wash your mouths out a cash raise.. Perish the though5

88 is a company that owns nothing, it leases land which has oil under it, it gets other companies to farm the land because we no longer have the finances to do it ourselves. What we do have is documents with pretty pictures telling us where the oil is and how many billions of barrels that we own. we have cash raise after cash raise because its the only way we can stay afloat but each cash raise weakens an already weak company, failure after failure with drills adds to the woe.... bottom line we get a hit and we all become rich or more of the same, we hit the wrong spot or oily clay or better luck next time, or we missed it by 50 yards

Billions of barrels of oil, free farm out.. Price recommendation 2.8p who does this sort of maths??? We are either worth a shed load of money or jack but 2.8p really??

I think the most important think that's happened in this Rally is that we broke our glass ceiling of 30p. Remember this was one vaccine.. Others will follow. There are still many bumps in the road a head and a few disastrous reports to come from our accountants but l believe we are on our way up from the bottom. I can now see 40p with further good news in the world and a declaration of a dividend. 50p and above is for now way off but for the long termers like myself is achievable. 60 - 70p would need serious profits and possibly 2p dividend. Those are just my thoughts just my thoughts

Billions of barrels due to 88, Farmer Giles is ready to till the land, just like Jed in the Beverly Hillbillies.. We have been here before, done that and got the tee shirt.. Don't know about your shirt but mine says oily clay... Will we hit black gold this time? Let's hope so it's why we are here.. But for the long term amongst us, you all know that billions of barrels due to 88 + a paying farmer does not equal success... Fact we have a chance of success... Nothing more nothing less nothing else

No doubt there will be billions of barrels due to 88..lets crack open the bubbly... Hang on we have to do the needle in a haystack routine first (that's, the drill) usually we hit oily clay or get a near miss come back in 6 months time for stats and pretty 3D pics.. Well we may get lucky who knows..
Oh and price rises we get those thick and fast but the falls are steeper and harder.... Seems the only people making money here are the day traders and MMs... Well that's enough sour grapes from me.. Unfortunately every word is true

Ritchie said we are in the worst recession for 300 years. You need to sell 6 lloyds shares to buy a modest bar of chocolate. Today's Q3 figures were decent considering the present climate. There are 2 sides to the dividend argument. It's ok not to give Joe Public dividends but Banks are Blue chips and pensions have large holdings in Blue Chips. Once we get the nod and declare dividends again things will go north again. How far north depends on the new... And it will be a new dividend policy hopefully 1-2 pence

I think it will only take a light nudge of positive news to push us through the 30p barrier. When a dividend is eventually announced and we don't know when because the government could politically speaking still say no. When it comes it should be a good rise proportionate to the dividend declared. Dare we hope for 1-2p?

You will need really good numbers and a 1-2p dividend in my opinion to get 65p next year as Richie Rich says we are in the worst recession for 300 years. Having said that nobody would welcome 65p more than l
