i agree that we need to apportion blame nearer to home. the dermatonics presentation was a car crash. obviously it had not been planned well or rehe****d. what was all that tosh about a four legged stool? the mention of wanting a 20p share price, alone probably cost us 5% of the share price. the benefits of the takeover have yet to be clearly explained , especially in financial terms. time for a rejig of the board. i would add a professional with knowledge of the nhs, diabetes and wound care. in my view dannielle bakker has added nothing but costs. 18 months after her appointment we launch (badly) on amazon. what has she been doing for her money? time for her to go.

Momentum is building ( though not as much as my URAH shares). It’s human nature that some that have lost money will now start to buy back in). If this can hit 15 then I suspect the next level will be back to 19 in quick measure. Now holding 720,000 and slowly buying back in.

Excellent EBITDA of £422k for FY24 . Projections for FY25 might be in excess of £550k due to higher margins, US Amazon sales, new products and take off of sales into Podiatry clinics.

It’s likely that there will be a very strong international market for the balm and every likelihood that our in house team can improve the formulation. SA has done an exceptional job to secure £5m of funding and do this deal. Unfortunately I suspect the 19p fundraise was a pre requirement for the £5m financing. Momentum is everything on Aim. I sold down 600,000 shares from 28p but starting buying back at 10.5. Now holding 620,000 and was lucky enough to have bought into EEE and POW. Been selling those off and buying into URAH. Pretty much back where I started! That said I’m confident that the SP will take off when Croda is a done deal, at which point hopefully IIs will come on board

We simply do not yet know what the benefits of the Dermatonics purchase will be. I suspect much better than people think. The company has a worldwide reputation with low priced products (too low in my view) often sold by podiatrists and bought in bulk by hospital clinics. Their new sensi- ped range looks to be a certain winner (marketing is generally most successful when selling similar or new products to existing customers). There might even be some direct SBTX savings (I doubt whether we now need a CFO or customer services assistant).

Maybe next time they could use someone that can write coherent text rather than disjointed paragraphs. Not that all of the paragraphs make sense.

Axisbiotix sales are supposedly running at £20k + per month This is an incredibly sloppy and unprofessional figure for any accounts. 2024 income is projected to double to around £250k. 2023 sales were £132k. If current sales are £21k, then without any growth, 2024 sales would be £252k. So why is the presumption that there will be no increase in monthly sales/income? Seems to me that either the £20k+ figure is actually much lower or no sales growth is projected which seems unlikely

I agree that given the low SP it’s discouraging that Directors don’t buy share and this is dissuading me from going beyond my £30k holding. The recent Guardian articles on new skin products Lyma (£500 pm and 33,000 waiting list) and Boots Future Renew (around £100pm for key products and 88,000 waiting list) are instructive. ‘If you genuinely have a new ingredient this will generate demand … if it’s technologically new and improved’. The Lyma product which has been around for awhile generated ‘confidence from releasing clinical results’ though this was limited to a doctor managed non placebo programme improving hydration by 72% and 51% skin firmness. Boots are probably generating well over £15m a year in sales for their new range- they increased skincare sales by 18% in the last year. The Croda programme should generate stratospheric sales, so why don’t SBTX directors think the shares are worth buying?

Yes Belgrano, I agree, Croda looks a compelling buy especially as they are building an integrated business, have very high profitability and have the funds for more buy outs.

I can see why SBTX investors are nervous as it’s difficult to work out the risk/reward ratio. I see-saw knowing if the Croda deal doesnt happen for any reason, the shares will go into freefall!

Toyin, many thanks for your explanation. Belgrano’s comments on what the royalty might be per pot were also interesting. These show that the actual cost of our product to a producer is actually a small part of the total cost. As you said it makes no bearing on how our income can be estimated. This is certainly not a reason for selling down his shares, though maybe some burnt by Opti might based on his comments sold off their shares? The upward SP seems to have resumed.
Your £2.5m may be conservative. I can’t see why our product would not be added to Retinol as this would add little to the pot cost which seems to start from £35. It’s worth noting that the 2022 accounts (published 26th Feb) show an 18% growth in Croda , beauty sales with 7%+ pencilled in for 2023.

I don’t think there is any confidence that if funds from the last fundraise are used for regulatory approval and B2C marketing that this will generate a net return. Do they even have a Spanish speaker to deal with queries?

18 months to break even wasn’t much of a rallying cry and bound to drive down the SP.
Seems that their product is in millions of units sold annually but income per unit must be a fraction of a cent? No real information on what the expected sales increases will be in terms of existing and new customer sales. Bemused that they have subsidised new launches when I wouldnt have thought this made much difference to the retail price. Makes me wonder whether
this company is actually capable of making a good profit in the medium term as we have no timeline at all.
