Unfortunately IR has never been strong. It’s basic communications, to decide the key message and then communicate the benefits. The RNS should have just focused on the Sederma launch … ‘Sederma launch in 2024 to be transformational!’

Great to see a timeline for the Sederma launch. Should only be a short time until the ‘scientific’ results are published, the product named and final testing/ product formulation by retailers ahead of launch in the Autumn.

What I want is IR that persuades others to invest/stay invested as that will improve the share price. You being persuaded to stay invested through your contact doesn’t help much. Perhaps I should follow your advice and ask ‘when CLG’s moratorium on stock sales ends in 10 days what will stop the stock falling to -5p when they offload?’ but I feel that should have been made public by now , if indeed they have an answer.

Investor relations is more than an email. It is about a conscious effort to understand the shareholder perspective (Deloitte). It should build confidence in the company, be proactive and provide an accurate account of the company by disseminating key information to enable investors to decide if the company is s a good investment. Do investors think we are a good investment? A two monthly investor meet for a company that has seen an SP collapse whilst salaries have gone up isn’t good enough.

Probably the worst Investor Relations possible. No excuse given the salaries paid. Worth voting against the current directors on this alone.

I agree. I offloaded 70% of my holding after an SB car crash interview when he was constantly pressed for his strategy and couldn’t get beyond agreeing with the interviewer that having a core investor was a possibility.

I agree. Let’s wait till the AGM when everyone can vote for or against the directors. I would like to see a clear statement on the web site for the case for the Dermatonics purchase, benefits, synergies, cost savings and financial projections. Potential investors need a reason for buying and existing investors a reasoned argument for holding.

I agree and have been holding but this week selling SBTX and buying OPTI has been a good strategy and still provides an SBTX upside through their holding. OPTI are stating 100.000 ton sales (which must have been cleared through their NOMAD). Here it is radio silence on the Croda deal. Surely by now there should at least be a brand name for our product with beauty companies planning to launch it. If this was the case then why is there so little buying of the shares and why are no directors buying at these ‘basement’ prices?

I think it very likely that our CEO and CFO will be voted out at the next AGM. Unless the Chair takes action now, he and the rest of the Board are at risk too. I once went to an AGM when the Chair and two Directors were voted out. The. AGM was then inquorate and we finished our team and went home!

Presumably on entering a deal with Modi, you would only do so if you had an idea of sales. To not even provide an estimated range, gives no confidence in the deal. For comparison in the last OPTI RNS, forward sales estimates for anew launch were Y1 to Y5 £1.2m to £6.2m.

To fundraise without having to do so at a 30+ % discount is massive deal on Aim. If I had been offered this with 2p warrants I would have raided my pension. Bit unfair that retail investors weren’t given an option!

And of course the majority of the purchase price is paid for from future sales with an estimate of at least 168m carats so hopefully we will soon have a good income against low production costs per tonne.

I’m guessing that the different aspects of the production process are now coming together. This is not to be underestimated (PREM failed to achieve this over an extended period, which resulted in a plummeting share price). The sorter dramatically reduces the cost and security of the whole process. Expect a substantial hike once everything is working. Then it’s all about how well the sorter works.

I think SA alluded that the next acquisition would be for a wholesaler which I presume will sell our Lysate. I haven’t seen anything to indicate that Croda have an exclusive distribution agreement?
