Common sense tips Hawkspear.
A sad reflection of our society is that when an energy company offers useful tips (the kind we have all used in our younger days), there was uproar and they were branded as insensitive!

I've a feeling there'll be some government intervention ref energy prices. Personally I've inadvertently protected myself by hoarding loads of ash that's been felled due to Ash Dieback. The house is toastier now than its ever been, prob got three years worth to go through!
It will be interesting to see where interest rates go. Although a nice way of devaluing government debt , I can't see how it can be used as a tool to stem inflation when the pressures are coming from outside of the UK and decreased domestic spending power will have negligible effect. Back in the eighties there appeared to be a direct relationship between spending power and inflationary pressure and raising rates was an effective tool.
I realise there's talk in the media about rises, so i'd be interested to here from somebody that has a clue because I obviously haven't :-0 lol

It now seems imperceptible that any intelligent person can not see this is massive. Any intelligent individual that has read all the official news releases, appreciated the size of the assets, those involved in partnerships with Eurasia, those organisations working for Eurasia, the geopolitical importance, etc, etc, must see what a privileged position we are in.
This is a case of right time right place, and for those without the capacity to appreciate this, one has to ask if they require some form of care to navigate daily life.

I have a significant holding but I don't think it's of a size to match that of the get rich quick brigade, many of who will be running the second they can. Once the sensible money is established for the bigger prize by hoovering up the runners, you won't be getting in cheap :-)

If the divi is small I'll actually be increasing by holding. Once any special divi has been issued, the get rich quick brigade will be gone and hopefully exert downward pressure on the sp at that point. A no brainer point to buy in further in a "hold for life" company.

Personally I've arrived at the situation where, irrespective of any asset sale, I can't see myself selling any of my holding. For me this has grown into a "hold for life" share.

I'll start off with "Ginger" Nuts, "Ugly" Stik fishing rods, "short"cake, any "fat" free products, anything with "thick" in the title, "Gypsy" Creams, and finally any product with "man" in its name.

Apparently this academic "midget" had researched the origins of the term being used for short people, which came from Victorian times. She then determined that the use of the term is a form of "hate speech"! I've always been rather confused by this term, how can they see into the motivation of every individual that uses, what is, an unacceptable term for the woke generation.

Apparently Midget Gems are now deemed offensive. An academic complained to several supermarkets and they're now being rebranded. Couldn't make it up :-) lol lol.
