I sold out thank God - I think they were looking for four legged Unicorns rather than the companies and I misunderstood them.

Looked at this a couple of weeks ago and nearly put &

£1k in as punt, £600k market cap I thought was underpriced.

I always liked Satoshipay as they always have been focusing on practical uses and getting their services to the end client.

Other companies have assumed too much about the markets without knowing much about practical connectivity to regulated companies, systems which are difficult to integrate with.

They still have a massive uphill task and the failure rate is high, but I would really be pleased if they make it.

MH, yes the audit in 2022 of the application of the 2019 code identified an estimated 1bn dollars of unpaid taxes.

Allegedly some mines used consultants who had 'tax planning' ideas to avoid paying tax. Not many companies used it, around 6 I think.

The common journalist myth in Mali is if you are on an old mining code nothing is retrospective when they bring out a new one. However consultants were highlighting the retrospective applications in the 2019 code! So clearly there were

All of the taxes is all about the 2019 code not the 2023 code.

Each time they bring out a new code there is the possibility of moving onto the new code but retaining some of the benefits of the previous code. I can't remember if it is 12 or 18 months with the 2023 code. Each code is meant to be simpler and of course each code decreases sweeteners to encourage mining and increases tax revenue moving closer to the West as the industry establishes itself.

What a dispute Barrick have got themselves into, 11% of their earnings may go. Early on if they were going to go down the battle route they would have been better selling out.

Well looks like Mali are going to receive the unpaid taxes from the 2019 mining code, apart from Barrick arguing, in the main the rest have paid their back taxes. I think there was one other.

Yet the articles still prattle on about the 2023 code.

Not sure if I read it in an academic book about orderly exits.

If the market knew a large shareholder was offloading as part of an agreement they could take advantage.
