Compo I agree re the 7.5m, the licence will have transferred and the government is confident that the mine produces, the government has 12 months to decide if it is going to buy in.

Personally if I was looking for a quick profit take here I think it is really difficult.

With gold being so high it would be difficult to call the highest short term peak, Nielle, second offtake or Fatou?

However when buyouts are just small dollars per tonne, one of those could hit us anywhere along the process.

Phase one waiting will end and cash will roll in, Nielle will be kicked into life again, taken to maiden, sold or developed, stage 2 offtake will be agreed and most probably will involve a decent size lump sum, probably with a loan facility to fund stage 2. Somewhere in that group will be a resource upgrade.

Speedy that is what many of us are hoping for.

However if not, remember the offtake from the second plant is not yet been offered out to the market, they are usually signed up before starting to build the plant and could represent a large capital payment to us too.

Like the interviewer said how come Bernard gets everything so right when so many have got it wrong.

Yes Rory in the presentation, I am pretty sure it says in total over 300k tonnes per year.

Which is why I have been banging on about any replacement offtakes on low cost production mines.

Offtakes are usually agreed before starting to build a plant not after construction and Bernard owes Hainan nothing on this one and may be looking for a big lump sum sweetener.

I think all going well they would be looking for that offtake agreement this year.

Just making plant adjustments. It sounds like it is right up there in output, just getting that final optimisation - fiddly stage, stop start.

What can they say? We moved it up a click for 24/36/72 hours and it worked great.

Or we have four more clicks to go to run for 36 hours each to get to full speed - numpties would say it was a deadline and if they stopped the plant for two days to make adjustments they would say he never keeps his deadlines.

Just a really exciting position to be in but also one of the scariest, it is kinda fun in a masochistic type of way.

Fooca it is interesting with the current low priced lithium and that is why I am hoping that some old offtakes come up for renewal and are in the press.

I don't know the answer.

However one thing is for sure if you are a timber shed builder you need timber and if your competitors are getting timber at a significantly lower price and pass that savings on you are in trouble.

This is the type of scenario with existing offtakes if from a more expensive extraction source.

If sweeteners for offtakes rise for low cost producers we have a large flotation offtake available later this year. Will Hainan leave us as partner and enable us to take the sweetener or will they want it all for themselves? Time will tell.

Treestump and at every stage over that whole period on a weekly basis the posters prophesy of doom - lol.

Yet here we are. Waiting for the plant to increment up to full output.

With millions in the bank and still 100% owners of two Goldfields.

PS remember offtakes aren't normally life of mine.

I am looking for news on offtakes coming up for renewal. Only extractors mothballing, reducing or closing so far make the news.

Re a buyout Fooca, I am wondering how the market will change from a manufacturer perspective.

If currently they have an offtake with a lithium source which is higher priced to extract lithium of whatever type and they are ensuring that source remains in place they must be over paying for their product. The lithium spot price does not automatically mean that is what is paid.

Lithium mines have been operating a long time now, they are not all recent. Companies will be taking a second look at their offtakes.

Extractors of lithium vary in costs per tonne, many 200 dollars at the gate higher than our to China costs.

All of a sudden the difference in end price to manufacturing is now the big focal point. Big differences here 20% and up.

In my opinion offtakes to low cost processors become more valuable, then from them to extractors offtakes become more valuable.

Buy outs of 10 to 50 dollars per tonne become chicken feed compared to paying 200 or more dollars per tonne for lithium.

If the processor offtakes from low cost extraction becomes valuable, why would Hainan want us to have those if they can buy us out more cheaply? (Flotation plant)

I kept up with it in the early stages because of the Mali government, but I read loads of company info taking out what is relevant to us but don't pretend to be accurate on all of the companies which have mines in Mali, if I didn't work there wouldn't be enough hours in the day.

Fooca just wondering what was happening and when you got your payments.
