I think they may contact the mining department - but think that they may not respond. They may ask Reuters for an apology but the problem with that is it is unlikely to go out through the same distribution channels.

I can't imagine Reuters are proud of their name on that release.

But I have noticed that their news reports around mining are getting poorer, I previously lodged a complaint with them on factually incorrect information about the Mali mining codes.

They didn't have the decency to reply.

But that was an absolute shocker to release. Poor Bernard will have to phone the mining office off the back of that one.

At least investors who have been around a long time know he never speaks that way.

Those quotes from Bernard in the news, first one looks suspect and contradicts the second quote.

How odd, I don't believe Bernard made that first quote.
