This is what we need to see more of before our licence is released.
Ganfeng trying to purchase something for too low a price and has been outbid.
We need companies to adjust to the new lithium prices going forward, not still bidding at low lithium deal prices.
We are more important to Ganfeng than before and Bernie now has leverage.
We need more of these before our licence is issued.

It is great, 50% extra per tonne with no additional cost. If we get the licence soon and nobody is going to pay double or near for a JV, I hope we go it alone with an offtake partner only. There are many other lithium deals going through for batteries and other stages, I have not, so far, seen a mining JV based on the current spodumene price rise. Really it should be around 300m to buy into half at these prices.
Look out for a new deal and post the link if you find one please. The others which went through earlier this month, were agreed months ago when the price was much lower.

Noddi, no rush as long as we get it in the end. The demand for lithium is going up day by day, BMW putting in orders of over 20bn. We want the payments for jvs to be brought up to match the lithium demand and price.
The delay has meant the profit of our existing mine is now equivalent to more than two of the same mines. Any increase in lithium price is straight onto the bottom line.
For us, if that translates to share prices, it could be like us investing in two Kodals.

There could not be a better time to have a lithium mine. Demand and prices are sky high. No alternative can be commercially available and priced competitively in the entire life of this mine.

Solid state batteries are unlikely to be competitive until late 2030s or in the 2040s. Their short life may also deter customers.

Could mean they are finished working on restructuring within their dept and back to the day job. There is a lot of upheaval in preparation for next year. There was a list earlier in the year of some of the changes made in the government earlier in the year, there may be an updated one floating around. A democratic government next year and all the procedures needed to demonstrate above board management of a country. Tendering processes etc. Big job.

It is monopoly money over the coming years, unreal.
It is almost like having a golden goose that you are worried you are going to sell off too cheaply. Interesting that other article which outlined Mali mining as 10% of GDP.
Hopefully another company does a JV based on current lithium prices and the benchmark is set, before we get there.

Look at South Africa, Mali isnt that bad.

It is just our TV, they want you to have their picture of the World, not reality. It is all little children in mud huts getting education from generous British people and everyone is happy and smiley. Nobody ever questions what they are teaching them and if it is any use in their region or country.

Our 300m dollar account valuation is based on a spod price of under 700 dollars per tonne.
Ideally we could do with seeing some newer JV deals going through based on current spod prices. So they set the scene for us.

Speel, that thought crossed my mind too Their share of the profit is directly related to the deal. But maybe it is wishful thinking on our part. They are restructuring all of their internal processes for next year's democratic government. They are not normally fast, but this and Covid is bound to impact them.
Their delay is superb for us.

Satoshi is going from strength to strength. Always liked that one. Practical approach to getting micro payments operational. The one that got away. Blu up on their last RNS. I do not hold shares in Blu before the usual culprits start.

Let us not be in a hurry, I would like to see some newer jv agreement written for lithium based on the higher lithium price. All the ones which have gone through recently had signed agreements in principle months ago and negotiations started months before that. Keep a look out for newer deals.

The best part is the up to date summary, although still, really annoyingly, they are still using spod figures under 700 per tonne, this is ridiculous as these figures are not going to be seen again over the next 12 years min. There is currently no technology to replace lithium which could be put into vehicles commercially over the next 12 years.
