Muppetguru, nobody can estimate the gross or net profit because spodumene of less than 6% was not included at all in the figures. The gross turnover on the calculated spod 6% is obviously double the original figures if the current price is maintained.
The cost of steel in the plant has increased, if they also chase spod 5 that will increase costs, but also increase revenue.
The figures are going to be huge, probably grossing well over 2bn, depending on spod 5 tonnage possibility of exceeding 3bn. We just have to sit back, get the licence then wait for Bernie's team to update the tonnage, new plant requirements and cost and of course latest spod price. We do not know if there is more spod 5 than 6 or less. We will see.

Yes-spoons. Also maybe the last stage is badly described. Maybe it is a sign off by the minister, but possibly there is a full audit of the case from start to finish before sign off. If there is, they need to say gone to audit before final sign off. As most people think it is just a signature and done.

We are ok, because it is cheap for us to remain at this stage. Imagine if we were a mine needing some more ground with all of the overheads of a mine to carry in a delay, or Ganfeng or CATL expecting a supply in 18 months time. They could get some very awkward questions. Also anyone with concessions may change the order of development to another country until they speed up their processing of licences.

400m but a low overall tonnage and low tonnage per year.
The low tonnage and long mine life means high recovery cost per tonne.

Yes they are and will. I think there could be two types of contract going forward, a simple payment and possibly if needed favourable loan simply for first refusal of all offtake. If this happens here shareholders get no dilution and all the profit. But a more obvious way forward for all to benefit, would be a higher upfront payment, guaranteed first refusal of offtake, but a capped maximum price for material. We will have to wait and see how things develop. But supply and maximum price are the main issues for the likes of Ganfeng and Tesla, BMW etc

There is a strong possibility that the RNS will land before the conference, to benefit the Mali government.

Like you say, Ganfeng and others do not get their lithium, they are to the ones that the Mali government want to keep on side. Otherwise they will have preference elsewhere.

Well the mining conference is this month.
The minister may get unwanted questions from the audience if this is not signed.
The question is will they sign it beforehand and make it part of their presentation, alongside Ganfeng?
If so how will they want it presented in their speech? Only this month, only last week or only yesterday?
Or are they so overwhelmed with work it will be after the conference?
We will see. Personally, I would rather avoid the awkward question from the audience.

Agree Merc. Based on the old spod 6 price, before all of the rises the asset value in print was 300m, five times where we are now. However Spod 5.5 was worthless.
Bernie says spod 5.5 is now worth chasing. Steel has gone up and if we chase additional tonnage of 5.5% spod the set up cost is going to be much higher.
But spod 6 has gone through the roof so our gross turnover may be almost double those in the original calculation. Then there is spod 5.5% none of us know how much of that is on the lithium concession, because previously it was not of interest.
Also you can't place no value on 8 gold concessions, one which may have a maiden value around April.

Disagree - it would be a strange situation where a real asset is valued around 300m, before production, yet shareholders sentiment is at 60m. Unlikely.
