One thing in case anyone voted in for a change messes it up I have taken a very long term fixed mortgage rate.

7% interest rates would be considered low globally - worth bearing in mind as a couple of generations think 4% is high.

15% is high.

We have no money in the pot just debt, any big ideas will be funded by more debt.

The more we borrow, the lower our credit rating, the lower our credit rating the higher interest we pay.

If we aren't paying off the national debt, all that reduces it is inflation.

Brexit appears to work - the trade figures are well up from when we last in the EU, both into the EU and globally.

The biggest trade agreement post Brexit has not kicked in yet, it is signed but not in operation yet.

I think the vote is more about what we can afford to do rather than any idiology.

Hopefully as we get further away from being in the EU we get MPs who are eager to run a country, rather than writing books or freeloaders at celebrity gatherings.

That goes for all political parties.

However Daz, deramp or not, many others who know nothing about open pit (open cast) mining may have thought the same thing.

Unaware that in this environment a machine weighing 4,000 tonnes can be mobile and sit on nothing but the ground.

So sometimes these are useful and end up positive, even though it may not have been the posters intention.

But groundworks business owner? Rubbish, they would know better.

The video link to that dragline below, it is 4,000 tonnes with a 100 tonne bucket. Quiet machine when it is working, epic to watch but you can't get the scale of it unless you are there when it is operational. In America I think now.

Look at the size of this and it is on tracks. Perspective is difficult unless you are there, but the best indicator is the door on the side, it is large. That was the biggest indicator for me when a guy walked out of it when I was on site. He was tiny by comparison.

Merc and a lot of open cast plant often just sits directly on the ground, dependent upon location etc. some mobile plant I have been around were the size of a small apartment block.

Dumpers had wheels one and a half times higher than the land rovers on site.

There may be a picture of one of them as it was quite well known 'the ace of spades'. I will see if I can find a pic.

Exactly Compo, ground pressure and the ground formation beneath the pad dictates pad design. We are not talking building foundations.

Why argocats float on water but an articulated lorry would sink, elephant foot compared to a Gazelle etc, basics.

Likewise Reggie, when someone makes a dumb comment when all of the plans are in presentation and video form explained in Jack and Jill fashion don't expect anyone to pull their punches when someone makes a comment without reading and watching them first.

Dr Who - agree the plant design is in the presentation the pads can be clearly seen. Just difficult to guess which ones these are, possibly the large circular piece of plant behind the DMS plants, not sure.

Good job the did not post photos of the conveyor pads.

Reggie look at the presentation then look at the ground works and try and tally the two - I see no issue not sure which part of the construction you are assuming this is?

There is a lot of conveyor and distribution support between plant modules.

Reggie it is prefabricated and simply sat on the pads. I have been in the industry and connected to large scale mining, shipping and handling, some vast conveyors need little infrastructure to support them.

We don't know what they are going to support nor the ground pressure of each item. They aren't building an office block.

Three of us and one machine built massive sheds years ago it doesn't take many.

I have done a complete commercial compound on my own with one machine in the past. Two of us for concrete and tarmac. Can get through a lot of work when everyone knows what they are doing.

The shape and location of those pads shows they are purpose built to place something on and it looks low ground pressure.

Good one Matt those concrete foundations and pads are going in, that will get us out of the ground so they can continue working during the wet season.

That is the communication I am looking forward to hearing.

Something to be aware of.

I read a lot of RNS, presentations and articles from companies working in Mali, all doing well it appears.

However all communications have gone ultra conservative and the old boastful RNS streams appear to have ended in all of the companies I have seen.

Good news is hidden in results and expansions.

We have always been conservative in communications and not over excitable in communications. I would not expect that to change and possibly be even more conservative - worth bearing in mind when reading the future RNS releases.
