I disagree that there is any wrong doing. If a company is up and down with good news and bad news and loads of trading their job is easy, keep liquidity in the share and earn a little on each trade to operate their business.

On a sticky share trade where 75% plus aren't letting go, it is a nightmare for them. They can't risk buying loads of shares and holding them, they may not sell for a while, the business could go wrong and they lose a packet and the small amount of trading which does happen means they are likely to be operating at a loss

In these cases they have to use big spreads and any means to maintain liquidity without going bust.

Merc & Elcobble, in America and the EU they are trying to think up ways to artificially create a higher price so their new projects can get off the ground and they not be dependent on imports. I can't see them successfully achieving this.

We all know from start to finish projects generally take at least 7 years, if the seedlings stop now then at some point in the future there is going to be more demand than supply and the price will rocket once more, plus it will take a few years for supply to catch up in that scenario.
