Why is our share price so low?
Before I tell you let me just say that I'm a shareholder and I see an acceptable risk here that gives me confidence in my investment.
The markets see two risks that are connected......
1 There is no profit forecast
2 Because there is no profit forcast in theory the company could run out of cash.
If we had a profit forecast then the company may achieve a forward looking rating of say 8 times profits and the share price would adjust accordingly.
If we had a profit forecast then the markets would see that our cash position would grow and remove the theoretical risk that we may run out of cash.
Our current cash position gives us approx 12 months if we're not generating cash.Profits, generating cash would remove that risk.
Mates rates......excellent post at 10-17...
Oh dear 3G........I think you only want to hear opinions that agree with your wishes and dreams.....
Let's say I said..... I've changed my mind and I think monthly reporting is a great idea.......would it make any difference????
Are you becoming the bully boy of this BB and everyone must chant your mantra?
3G.....I don't make any assumptions concerning meetings with institutional investors........what I described is what happens...
Monthly reporting...forget it....the company isn't going to change its mind....
I think that if monthly reporting was an issue then the companies broker would have advised...
I think monthly reporting is a very bad idea.....it makes the company look like it's in trouble....
3G.......institutional meetings....
Institutions have the advantage of having one on one meetings with the management....
At the end of that meeting they will have a very good understanding of what has happened so far this year....
They will also understand what are the assumptions in the companies forcast for the rest of the year....ie how much copper per month, cost assumptions, etc.....
They will have enough information to predict a profit for the year....
AND they will have looked into the eyes of management and seen how confident they are....
The institution will have its own view on copper pricing and will understand RMM assumptions....
They will see a a stable growth stock that is a bargain....
I don't think monthly reporting will be an issue.......
It all boils down to the expected profits....
Hi Prof...of course copper price is highly relevant....
Any institution will be mindful of its view on future price of copper....
This would be the case if the price of copper was high.....
It all boils down the expected profits...
3G......monthly reporting is an irrelevance
.
I expect a dramatic turnaround in the company's share price......
RMM will have a forcast for year end, revenues ,costs,profit......
It now has data to show that that is achievable.....
The company's broker (who is an insider) will know this too....
The broker will be arranging institutional meetings for the company to present an incredible growth story to them...
The story of a turnaround and future growth is now credible, believable, and compelling....
Despite the issues in the world, the lack of institutional buying is main reason for lack of share price growth.....
I do have to say that I expect a dramatic and short term re-rate of our shares once the institutions start buying and that time is here
Moving to quarterly reporting is not amateurish.... it's professional and normal......companies giving monthly information are those that have been in trouble...
If you work for an institutional investor are you going to risk your career investing in a care and maintenance company?
Moving to quarterly reporting suggests we are normal, safe and not in danger.
3G ....your emotional outbursts are because you're not getting what you wished for.....not a sensible basis for investing...
Timescale?........when the markets believe our story....profits this year and growing profits into the future.......
When this is believed we won't get a pe of 5....it will be 15.....
In the future we will be raising money for expansion.......high share price ....cheaper for us shareholders....
The RNs on Friday was preparing the way for our future......
All very good...
I do think that you miss the point about our mcap.
It will be driven by how the market see's the company and the p/e ratio that follows.
Are we to be a growth stock?
Or just plod along on 7000 tons?
If we're perceived as a plodder we'll get a p/e of 5.
However, if profit growth is believed we'll get a much higher p/e.
Let's say our profits are forcast to be 5 10 15m for the next 3 years, then we'll get a p/e of 15 , because institutions will pay more to buy a growth stock.
A press interview needing an RNs.... that's because it contained price sensitive information...... firstly we're on target for 8000 tons this fy......and much more importantly we're a growth stock that you can expect huge growing profits from in years to come.
Very important RNS......so look forward to 80 m mcap..........
.
..... share price should be 40p by year end....
...hmm..
We produce no profits at moment and our mcap is roughly that of our turnover....
If visibility is not given to market of profits then decline will take place.....
However if we show to markets that we will make profits this year of say 5m then 40p is achievable.....
A re rate will come when a profit for cast is believed and our mcap can be determined by a p/e ratio.....
I am surprised that there are not analyst forcasts for our profits out there now....
When they are we will have a basis for re rate...
The management have told us that they are focusing on a liquidity event....
That's what I prefer to focus on....
KPMG would not come to the party unless there was some work for them to do....
The M&A expert would not join the company unless there was some M&A for him to do....
The company is proceeding with care and patience.....that means it's slow going due to political climate....
The company hasn't issued any statement on the sales....because there's nothing to say......if the company makes a sale or doesn't make a sale you'll get an RNS.......you won't get one for progress or timescale...
It's ongoing.... that's what the rns's say...
Unfortunately the credibility of this board has been spoilt by the likes of tillywizz,Ian space ,mac etc by there refusal to allow discussion on negative and positive aspects of this company......never mind they've lost their cred now....
Still hope out there until it becomes a liquidity sale rather than a liquidity event...
I'm still leaning towards the latter...
3G.......the thing that makes me doubt your credibility is the fact that you respond to Moonie......
What was the point of your 9:38 to moon man?....
You only give him credibility...
Can and will obviously mean different things.....
In the example that is being discussed you can not use the word will....
Will...means...it will certainly happen..
That cannot be guaranteed so would not be allowed in an RNS.....
Well GGG...... it's the principal that you should accept...
KPMG will not bring a deal to the table....
That's not their role...
They will administer a deal that is brought to the table....
That's why their presence is significant..
Having too many shares in the company may undermine the independence of the non execs......
So criticising them for not having more skin in the game is wrong...
DLA Piper , UBS, KPMG......
They all have different roles in a sales process....
Ask yourself...why have KPMG been brought in now...
