A few years back PYC did 20x in 3 days on a mere £0.5m contract with Merck

Imagine how nuts TCF would go if they get $0.5m from Stalicla with potential of $5m and a further potential $150m

("Astellas") of an original peer reviewed article "A Multiple-Model-Informed Drug-Development Approach for Optimal Regimen Selection of an Oncolytic Virus in Combination with Pembrolizumab" in the journal "CPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology". With cancer being one of the leading causes of death worldwide, the development of new therapies is critical. One of the most promising class of oncology therapy is immunotherapy, an approach that can turn the power of the immune system against cancer cells. These drugs are either used on their own, or in combination with other therapies, in order to maximise patient outcomes.

When developing these types of therapies, one of the major challenges is around optimising dose and timing (i.e. treatment scheduling) of the treatment so to balance out any toxic effect the drug has against the drug's efficacy; its ability to reduce or eliminate the cancer. This balance becomes even more complicated when multiple drugs are being used in combination.

Physiomics adds value to these these processes by offering drug development companies prediction and optimisation services through its modelling and simulation capabilities, helping to predict what treatment dose schedule to explore when progressing from preclinical research and into the clinical for the first time; balancing out toxicity with efficacy. These predictions help our clients focus on the most effective experimental permutations to explore, thus accelerating and derisking the drug development process.

Physiomics’ dosing software and specifically to enhance its ability to support decision making around the use of the expensive biological drug GCSF which is commonly used by clinicians to counteract the neutropenic tendency of chemotherapeutic agents.

Moving Forwards

The focus of the Company’s personalised dosing initiatives going forwards will be to expand the capability of the software to support dosing decision making around not only chemotherapeutic agents but GCSF. Both the ongoing PREDICT-ONC study and potential secondary research with DoseMe clients in the US will support this objective. In parallel, the Company is seeking ways to make the blood sampling required by its software more convenient for patients. This can potentially be achieved by using the software in other settings where frequent blood sampling already occurs, but also through exploration of the use of new diagnostic devices that can obtain and analyse blood samples in community or home settings (such at that being developed by our partner company Beyond Blood Diagnostics).

As the Company continues to develop its personalised dosing software, it will actively consider the most appropriate way to ring fence resources for this part of its business. Options under consideration include creation of a dedicated business unit, creation of a wholly owned subsidiary or a joint venture with a party with complementary technology/ capabilities. As further progress is made towards one of these, further updates will be provided accordingly.
