A salute to Porky19 Oct 2024 09:06
As a somewhat overawed admirer, I have followed Porky from afar for the last 4 years. Many times, I have wanted to acknowledge his profound mastery of the stock market and its mysteries, so elusive to most mortals. Finally, I have picked up the courage to pay tribute to my hero. What an honour and privilege it is to finally appear on the same forum as a living legend.
Only those who have been fortunate enough to witness his extraordinary posts can appreciate Porky’s countless pearls of wisdom. It is rare to have such a financial wizard willing to bestow their expertise among minions such as ourselves. We are truly humbled to be in the presence of this investment icon who has such a history of resounding success.
As any master of a chosen field, he has his flock of sycophants who, lacking his wisdom and insights, rely on his guidance to form an opinion. They are indeed blessed to have such a tutor shape their viewpoint for them. I relish the opportunity of becoming one of their number and eagerly anticipate his next venture into the world of finance. I have my funds readily available to capitalise, just pending his seal of approval and clearance to invest.
His charts and in-depth research are sought after throughout the world of finance. Criticism from uneducated posters is met with indifference. He refuses to lower his standards just to respond to those less informed than himself.
It is such a shame that posters are required to remain anonymous. It renders any request for an autographed photo as pointless. Nevertheless, given artistic licence, I envisage Porky to be a Brad Pitt lookalike, a Ferrari as evidence of his many successes and a stream of supermodels at his beck and call.
Humility is undoubtedly one of his many admirable characteristics. He seeks no rewards other than the satisfaction of saving uninformed investors from exploitation. His cloak of anonymity allows him to perform his magic as a Clark Kent of the LSE. Rumour has it that he is to be nominated for the ‘Services to Non-shareholders Award’ in recognition of his thousands of posts on stocks where he has no holding.
Credit where it’s due, even Orwell recognised the superiority of Porky in the grand scheme of things.
