Noted my name pop up a couple of times in recent chat and would just add that I am still here and intend to be a long term holder. Really could have timed my buys better but "oh to have a crystal ball!". I am watching to see whether we reach the low 30's and if so may well try one last buy to bring my current holding up to a nice round number. Until I am finally in profit I don't intend to post again with any update or comments. Let's hope that will be in at least a month's time. Until then stay safe and GLA!
Thanks chasrutledge. Impressive OO, or was it Investor Meet Co., for getting the presentation available so quickly post event.
"in orph history and after silence for so long I can't see anything but a positive impact. I think with some degree of certainty it would be cheaper to buy now than later today or tomorrow.
If MM decides to stop selling it will fly again ;)"
You were right Hvivo! I did manage to log-in an check it out after all, but have to say thank you very much to Wally as per many others have already done here. That was a great interview. CF certainly has a passion to make OO and its assets work out fully for shareholders. Who would want to be out over the next few years. I wonder how much CF will have to pay for his shares when he is able to buy? There must be a limit, but perhaps he thinks that limit is way above where we are now so is still determined to add. Since he already has a significant position that is saying something!
Probably a great idea I didn't hold off buying till the market opened today. Yesterday's top-up at just below 40p should prove rewarding. Thanks for the feedback on this generally great forum.
Thank you Bazzaman! I hope there will be a recording or a few condensed reviews of the event tonight as I will not be able to attend it even though I did register. I guess I will find out anything of interest in the morning when I am able to log-in again to LSE and ADVFN, or when the market opens to see if there is any reaction.
What the heck...... Just topped up with my last buy in ORPH I think. Have enough for me now, although I will wish I had more if we take-off down the line of course. Have enough to buy a nice car invested in ORPH now. It may not compare to those who have enough invested to buy a decent house, but they probably know an awful lot more about ORPH than I do. Bring it on CF! Hoping the update will be upbeat and all is on track.
and now I am holding off for tomorrow. I may have to buy higher but unless something amazing happens tonight and in an RNS tomorrow I doubt I will be buying at my highest buy of near 47p! If, gawd forbid, there is a drop on any "disappointment" I will have some spare funds to try and time a buy lower. Hard to resist buying more now but just not sure (nobody can be) after the event later.
Since buying into ORPH I haven't experienced a good week yet. Down on nearly every buy (just positive on last one) and so I think that this week could be the one where something positive to the share price happens. Many who have followed OO & CF more than me say that CF had been quieter than usual and Eskers et al., have found plenty of decent snippets on Twitter. Fingers crossed that I may actually make it into profit by Friday. If not I will keep waiting. Then when it profit I intend to continue holding. Sold plenty of good companies too soon, i..e BOO, CKN, XPP, FUTR to name some.
Although I missed the recent lows I have now bought 4 times here between 47p (oops!!) and 35.24p (better). Every time I have bought we have gone on to experience new lows, so be warned everyone! My luck has to change soon. Surely?
Got my average down to 42p today with my 3rd top-up after my initial buy at the highs! I am hoping that this will be the change of fortune needed and the recent weakness is just an opportunity for me to reduce my average. Had to sell one of my holdings to raise the funds and that was a reluctant decision but I can see more upside here unless CF is leading everyone up the garden path and the spin-outs all come to nothing for whatever reason(s). The chances of the latter are probably remote. Promise to change the subject line with the next post too ;-)
Thanks Si-Derman! I am sure I will be too ;-)
In fact, I am now positive (just!) on two of my three buys in OO, so I hope to be around with you all for many more months and years as the story unfolds. Even as a newbie I can see the great potential here and as I know all too well patience is the key. The BOD are also just as important. If you have a great BOD and lots of patience, things usually work out for the better.
3rd buy of ORPH shares today. Not a big one but all helps in the end I hope. Average is now 44.6p and will just keep what I have now as a "core holding". As funds and news come my way later I may add and "average up" rather than "average down" as I have been doing since my first buy at 47p. It may be a better strategy and I know some favour buying into strength and news rather than the other way round. Wealth warning - Since I have bought again today prepare for another leg down!
Averaged down on my original buy today. Now my average price is 45.1p. Look forward to the news-flow and being in profit in the not too distant future I hope!
Thank you very much for your warm welcome MrDribbles, LittleWingLegacy, FatherTedCrilly and BeContrarian! I look forward to following OO's progress and reading the comments on what appears to be a decent BB here. Welcome to Stu as well. Your price was significantly better than my entry price but in the long run I hope that we will both think our entry points were well timed ;-)
Joined you all on Tuesday @47p before the RNS yesterday, so my timing and price could have been considerably better! Never mind, it was never meant to be a trade so I hope to be able to stick around and watch the story unfold here. Who knows I may even top-up along the way when opportunities and cash allow. In the meantime I wish fellow ORPH investors good fortune.
It can't keep ignoring the progress though surely? Frustrating as it may be "value has to out eventually". That's what I am hoping anyway. Would be nice to read some positive news at results time, or before, though!
First post here as I usually contribute more on ADVFN and follow here from time-to-time. So far only posted on JOG on the LSE boards. Anyway, I shared this on ADVFN's RENE BB and thought I would do the same here since I signed up now:
Hmm.... Interesting. If this makes its way into the widestream media it may generate more interest in exesomes and thereby benefit RENE: A protein known as CD24 is delivered to the lungs by exosomes in the drug, which helps to rebalance the immune system and prevent it from overreacting to the virus.
However, should'nt it be "drug in the exosomes", not the other way round?

It seems that JOG are still on Malcy's "Bucket List", so he obviously has some faith in the BOD, options or no options.

Bailing out at 200p may well prove to be a poor move when you look back in a couple of years or so. I have made the same mistake with CKN and XPP in the past. Wish I still held my original holdings and didn't lose faith in them. On the other hand I still hold PHAR (formerly SIA) and NANO, which I wish I had never invested in! So, it certainly isn't easy spotting the winners and holding on to them. Determined to hold my current winners until the story changes though!
Thank you PhotographerTLP. Appreciated. I searched a bit more and found another useful page. The video on the home page is a good PR one but I wanted to see and hear the BOD ;-) https://www.jerseyoilandgas.com/media/videos/
Nice news today. My first post on LSE and hence this board too. Is there any decent video that long term holders would recommend newbies in JOG look at please? Watched but never bought in here until today's news and this board seems a sensible one.
Cheers in advance for any pointers.
