I am still invested in HVO and by default also have my investment in POLB. I am perfectly happy to sit it out and wait to become in profit one of these days. I was too keen to buy before and paid as the price fell away, but a loss is only one when you sell and I haven't sold any so far. I plan to continue holding and watch the progress in both companies. Yes, I should have averaged down but I didn't. Still can of course, and if I do I am sure the rewards will come. GLA!
I would tend to agree with Srdoddy here. When management state timelines they should stick to them but unfortunately we are seeing the same at TXP where I have also held for some time. Early February is NOT the same as early January. Why not just state within Q1 as it would be so much more accurate and the traders would not be able to have their fun. BOD's like to state timelines that hardly ever seem to come off on time, so for whatever reason they do not seem to learn from the impact such "misses" tend to have on their company's share price. I know they are in it for the long term (no choice in some cases, company plans etc...) so may not care so much. I am also in for the long term, but would like to see factual statements that means we can trust the BOD. So far CH has been one of the better leaders though, so there is probably a justified reason for this delay in his stated timeline. I hope there is anyway!
Forgot the link with a link to the article and some comments on its poor quality already posted: Https://twitter.com/TomWinnifrith/status/1616764872598949888
I see TW has typed somthing about ZPHR and a placing. Just when all was going so well. Will this cause further volatility in the ZPHR house? We shall soon find out, but hopefully another positive RNS will come this week and TW's theory will be blown out the water. Still, he has his followers. I am not one of them in case anyone has any doubts. ZPHR is my largest holding re: number of shares.
Things have improved a tad now and even the house builders are starting to be considered long term value. Will we see further improvement as the builders potentially gain popularity again? I hope so as MSLH have been bashed down a lot and I hope they will recover to their highs.
Just a reminder of one key piece of text in the November statement:
While overall portfolio asset prices remain depressed, revenue from staking activities, a core part of the Company’s strategy, has been consistent throughout the period, providing a reliable source of income to the Company while protecting underlying assets from being diluted.”
MSLH down like many share prices of companies at the moment. Back to 2017 share price levels. When the market returns on St. Ledger's Day and the end of the year approaches I hope we will look back on this as a buying opportunity. In the meantime Friday 1st July is dividend payment date so there may be some re-investment then or the following week. GLA.
That should have been "now given up on" as I am sure was apparent. Seems cannot edit posts on LSE.
A comment was made in an earlier post about "passing the staff and knowing that their pensions etc... are impacted by the low level of value in the current share price". This link would indicate that staff consider ITV one of the better employers: https://uk.indeed.com/cmp/Itv/reviews That has to be a positive given the negativity from outside the company.
jedclampit - Might have to wait more than a "few months" unless you mean enough months to call it "years". I have been an ITV share holder for many, many years and when I invested it was great. Healthy share price and good dividends including some specials! Thanks to those I am a lot less underwater than I would be now, but I am still underwater even after all these years. I am a silly Billy for holding and holding I know. One day I hope the tide will turn and ITV will be back in favour, or perhaps, the long muted M&A event will finally materialize. The LSE ITV BB is way better than the ADVFN one which I have no given up on. At least the posts here are on the whole decent. Will follow here from now on.
Sure some will be interested in knowing there is a PA interview now: https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/978839/synairgen-s-covid-treatment-can-still-have-a-role-in-severe-cases-explains-ceo-marsden-978839.html
I have been in KR1 since just before the major leg-up from the high 40s (timing right for a change) and still consider it a long term play. I did add some around current levels a while ago and have been a bit disappointed in the recent performance, but long term we should be fine. Happy to let the expert BOD do their thing and invest in things I could never invest in.
*.......thus making it a very positive BB to be part of."
Agree. Certainly no comparison with the ADVFN BB. What a waste of time that is! As to sticking around, I have no intentions of going anywhere and await the upcoming news-flow just as eagerly as other shareholders. I just pray that your confidence is proven to be correct. Soon see ;-)
*I know that these set of results are going to satisfy the market and I truly believe this.*
I truly hope you are correct TheBoys! As a relatively new ZPHR investor I am just in profit so would be disappointed to see results appear that surprise everyone to the downside. I may well trade another company's share to add if the news is good, even if I do have to pay a bit more.
All the bricks being laid in a timely manner it would seem. Seems CH and the BOD pretty much stick to their word and the news-flow is nice to see. Let's see what the future holds but so far it is lining up to be a positive one it would seem!
The quality here is certainly better than over at ADVFN! Pretty much given up there with so many filtered posters. I hope we will all be able to move on together here and have a memorable investment as time unfolds. If I am able I may well be adding around these levels, although I am now happy I have an initial holding.
Indeed blisful. That is why I stuck in "usually tend" and didn't say "The BOD stick to stated timelines". Since we have no idea what may have happened, positive or negative, we have no choice but to wait it out and hope it is the former!
I would be ecstatic at 100p! 50p would even do me and even 25p at this stage would be a welcome reality. Let's just see what the future holds as the announcements appear. We were all hoping for one today, but alas it doesn't seem to be coming. This week at least would be nice. The BOD usually tend to stick to stated timelines pretty accurately. The more the time drifts the more nervous some folk become. GLA.
