Where are Ceres or BE going to get their fuel from for the expansion of power for DC's?.

The name "AFC Energy" I assume relating to Alkaline Fuel Cell Energy originally.

Hardly seems very relevant now for a company who's main products wont be fuel cells.

I beleive it relates to the same demo day and was posted on linkedin, I for one did not know JCB has a H2 powered generator range.

This could be a major competitor for AFC fuel cell generators, I am curious about pricing but their diesel gensets @30Kw is less than £20k.

The prospect of only £1.5M in revenue for 2026 for starters.

Other than that no current "contracted" pipleline to increase that figure even though they have been peddling the 30KVA generators for more than 1 year.

As a new investor here, i am disappointed with the results and subsequent investor call.

I was under the impression this company was further along the commercialisation journey than it apparently is.

The clarification that only 15, 30kVa fuel cells are "currently" planned for year 2026 is quite alarming, i would have hoped that with all the customers demos through Speedy H that there would be more interest than that?.

I concur that John Wilson's rather bumbling explanation on the LTC was rather weak.

If they knew they were not tendering why highlight it last year, bizarre.

I will see how the market reacts at opening tomorrow, but likely time to bail and re-visit IF/WHEN they have some contracted orders.

If that really is the case why did AFC fail to win the LTC H2 supply contract?.

Before you reply with "AFC were not interested in that project", why did JW spend so much time last year explaining the benefits of crackers over tankers?.

For your information AFC do not make the purist hydrogen on the planet.

From AFC published literature.

"In summary: hydrogen from AFC Energy’s ammonia cracker units is being developed and certified at very high purity (~99.9%–99.97%+ H₂), making it suitable for fuel cell power generation and other high-quality hydrogen uses.

However Higher purity can be produced and is required for Semiconductor

99.999%+.

For the record GeoPura is partially funded by the National Wealth Fund, their bidding for this project must have been whiter than white given their relationship with Gov.

I can confirm i am not shorting this stock or working for any organisation that does.

I invested here with the belief that the company was well on the way to being a commercial entity, it may still be.

However you cannot disguise the fact that winning the LTC project to supply FC generators and FAS would have been transformational for AFC.

As it is, it does beg a question of are we actually competitive or not?.

We can only be guided by what we are told unless we see otherwise, we may have just seen that today.

If AFC were not interested in LTC why would JW spend 2 minutes out of a 40 minute presentation talking about it?.

Clearly they were competing for it.

If AFC Green H2 was 1/3rd the cost of electrolyser produced H2 why didnt we win that contract?.

It is clearly a lost opportunity.

Todays news is a reality check for me for just how far there is still to go to be competitive in supplying H2 to customers.

My fear is how many more calls for cash are required before we get to that point?.

Some pretty limp excuses trying to explain why Geopura was chosen over AFC for LTC project.

Whichever way you dress it up its a large opportunity lost for AFC.

It was stated by someone that Geopura are not a competitor?. But looks like they have stolen one of AFC's flagship targets for our cracker technology.

So in my mind they are a competitor as they have secured the FC generator business also.

Could this be why the share-price is selling off today?.

Guess that rules out any Lower Thames Crossing business for AFC, "cracking news" you might say..

In addition it looks like Geopura have secured the H2 generator business also, do you get the feeling someone has just stolen your lunch. lol

Planning approvals are a very positive step but with the new grid rules developers still need the equivalent of project progression from NESO to confirm a connection date and any possible grid re-enforcement costs. That will be required before any funders to approve FID, only then will that trigger orders for equipment like Invinity.

More patience required, but the momentum is good. The more projects Invinity is involved in the better, it will be less impactful if some fall by the wayside during planning and grid approvals.

You seem to be missing the point.

We know 2025 there was zero revenue for AFC.

I was hoping that IF the cracker was up and running as planned(in its new location) it would be generating revenue.

If that isn't the case there wont be any other revenue streams for H1-2026, that puts more pressure on cash burn and increases the possibility of another share offering. Which is not in anyone's benefit.

You can always measure the quality of a man by his ability to apologise when he is mistaken.
