Anyone thinking once debts below 2019 levels and well under control that theirs a good chance IAG will start a share buyback program - get the number of shares in issue back to 2019 levels too ? thats best way to spend the profits if you ask me rather than a measly 3,3p divi - get the share price back up to 2019 levels - carnt do that without a buyback

No expert but 206m sounds cheap , i thought id read it was worth closer to 400m , but its a good 20% off debt and if thats on top of the 80m they said they was paying off this year , thats nearly a 3rd reduction , gotta help long term and if interest rates come down soon too - maybe all good - GLA

I hope thats true Geemoney but lets face it it needs to be nearer 150m per yr to have a real affect - thats a big jump in trading and profits and 1 good footy summer aint gonna do that - but i'am a LTA and i'm willing to hold for 5-7 yrs , happy if they recover any sooner :)

Debt repayments of about £25m per year doesn't exactly touch the sides either - thats 40 yrs till being back in the black :(

I think i agree with most of that NU16 - we are assuming that once debt levels reach a certain point the divi will return and the share price recovers , but your right that some kind of comment or acknowledgement of the shareholders on what this level is would help , but i'am and can afford to be patient and im pretty sure it wont be too long now :) - im predicting debt below 4billion by end of this yr - then happy days

Also would have thought the oil price predictions for next year falling to $65 give IAG a little boost - but i doubt it will fall that much im sure opec will reduce production - but any fall means more profit in the bank for IAG - GLA

Its my understanding all the share buybacks are being held in treasury - not sure why, cancelling would obviously be better for us and the share price - my only thought is it may be something to do with the potential three merger - maybe they need to hold onto them for some reason ?

ODR - i appreciate you cannot say anything , but can you give a estimate time frame we may be looking at before real news actually comes through to us ? are we talking days , weeks , months or more bloody years ? :(

Yesterday was very disappointing i think we all expected more (SP movement i mean not results) but i'm def holding , this will recover, those sales and profits carnt be ignored forever , yes debt is an issue but they can well afford to service it , no news on divi i think is the big issue here , but if they are lowering debt first then i think the wait will be worth it . i still predict £3 by end of year - GLA
