The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
The oilbarrel article is well worth a read. Main highlight is broker Blue Oar securities give PRE a nav of £1.09 against a sp of 7.5p. With PRE presenting in london next week i am baffled why this hasnt got more attention.
If they hit 10p again, my car might have to go, in fact i seem to remember lucky saying that in December.
Good evening to you, had a good week ? I see the old Norseman shares are getting a bit more attention, are you still holding?
I cant believe that i am up almost 300% without a offer price being released. Dont you just love coal !!!
On a bid for STHR refuse to go away, Adecco have £940m available for aquisitions, 350p per share believed to be offer price. Interestingly STHR hasnt denied all this press speculation.
Under the section Future developments, prospects and business strategies , it says " in the opinion of the directors it may prejudice the Co to provide additional info in relation to likely developments in the operations of the Co and the expected results of those operations in subsequent financial periods " A bit cryptic me thinks, although it sounds like something might be in the pipeline.
34% up,thats more like it, strong buying today.
Making profit first time ever, cash in bank ( A$44m ), offer on table. The bit i like is ; " One party provided cdn with a non binding written indication of interest at a level significantly higher than current s.p. This process is in early stages and the company is in contact with several other interested parties." Will hopefully see some upward movement today.
Had a pretty reasonable day except bl**dy CDN, i keep trying to fathom it out, i dont believe news leaked out as this has been going on for sometime now, i can only assume that speculators have become bored with waiting for news. Production cuts didnt help either. My other bad one at the moment is SEY, words fail me when it comes to this share.Bought ATH the other day, i feel this is oversold. Bought RPT today as 30p was too good an opportunity to miss., and i have YOUGOV on my watchlist. Do you have any really cheap or second hand awnings that are robust and as big as possible that would fit onthe side of one of my barns, it wouldnt matter if it had someone elses company name on it.
Had a good day then ?
Quick, someone else sell some shares, because every time someone does the daft bar stewards put the sp up.
The flicker of light has now become a beacon of hope. up 11% on no buys only sells.
Flicker of life today despite a couple of sells, could this be a precursor of great things to come?
This is due a big time bounce, it must be at its bottom or very near too it. As EXDIV stated this company does not deal on spot price but in long term contracts with power stns . We need power, and we need coal to keep them stations running.
A better day on here today, well at least it hasnt cost us money. Regarding your question about leisure ind , i own some fishing lakes that are day ticket waters, no need for coins, i charge notes, but with this recession / depression i may soon be charging coins again. Why do you ask?
my head against a brick wall with regards to this company, especially when i thought last weeks sp was a bargain and promptly topped up, now look at the bl**dy sp. Someone said to me a few months back never try to catch a falling share you will get burned, did i listen, did i hell. Still tomorrows another day and it brings us closer to the news we have been waiting for.
could of been a blessing in disguise for any who wanted to top up or as an entry price. I for one took advantage of it. I am still trying to work out whether the job cuts announced today was solely a CDN descision or whether potential suiter told them to get there house in order prior to any bid.
a lot of buys today on this stock, i would think we are getting very close to a deal being struck.
There is another way RIO can get to the 30% needed to make a bid , that is via URU. ( see Jarvos comments on URU today )
