What is the basic case for buying in here . Forgive my stupidity

Cant wait for suspension now . Tired of reading all the guff on this board that amounts to pure ill informed and partially informed speculation . We will all ride it out now on a conviction basis .

Simply fear v greed and at the minute fear is winning amongst PI s who dread the gamble over suspension and no clear offer . As a small long term investor , I will stick this out for 35p gamble . I cant see the big investors jumping out at the moment . Please anybody correct me on this . Are the shorters bailing yet ?

Another retailer with problems but I doubled down at 240 for a substantial holding . Hope my instinct is correct and this bounces when the shorters exit

I did buy and then sold at 407 because I suddenly felt nervous . Just a lucky hunch . I made about £40 . Think I will buy back if it reaches 300/320 . I am pretty sure there will be recovery given the segment of the retail market they serve . I used to love retail shares but now much more cautious .

Been a shareholder in Alliance for decades and slightly fewer years with Witan . Not clear what the synergies are . The two investments do not have a similar strategy o am I wrong there anyone ? Lets hope it works for both cohorts of shareholders .

Agree totally and your position pretty well reflects mine and I suspect a large number of long term holders . In conviction terms ( always a perilous position ) I believe there is and should be a responsible provider of financial services to people who cannot access responsible credit facilities . The market is there and I believe our government has a responsibility to assist in this area . Credit is hard~wired into the worlds financial structure . VAN I believe can provide this and to be fair Provident in the old days could as well (with some reservations ) . The moral case is strong too in the sense that ethical credit challenges the cowboys and illegal money lenders who inhabit this space . VAN has a really good CEO and the staff in both Bradford and Newcastle are excellent . I honestly believe that long termers will be rewarded once all the spivs are ejected from this investment . Fingers crossed .
