I think a takeover or bid is brewing.

Cineworld is too cheap and too strategic not to get noticed by the big boys.

4 scenarios:

1. Mooky takes it private
2. A film studio makes a bid, Disney most likely
3. On line giant, such as Netflix or Amazon males a bid
4. Jangho makes a hostile bid. Amc's largest shareholder is Chinese btw

My money is on 2. or 4.

We have been waiting for this squeeze fir a long time.

So why would the illustrious The Times write an article about a 5% stake build on a relatively small company.... Cineworld is not FTSE100, and a 5% stake is not that big ?
