Retired and dabble for a bit of sport. My background was Leaders not AIM, which was a much more orderly, and better regulated, market. One has to take AIM in the round though - very poorly regulated, very poor standard of BoD generally, little or no comeback HOWEVER, you very very rarely multibag on Leaders or even Second Liners but, when AIM stocks come good, they come vvv good! That's the appeal and I enjoy keeping my hand in! GLA
Less profitable - lol!!
Indeed I was my friend - an ex-MM!! No hate mail please!
If Odey got 90% by value, then the remaining 10% can be automatically acquired although this won't happen as Emin and family own around 12% by themselves. Alternatively, if Odey gets to 75%, then the remaining 25% can be acquired if approved by a majority of shareholders - note 'CAN' not 'MUST' be acquired. He's quite close to getting to that potential position with his 53.84% although with Emin's 12% and PI's having at least another 12/13%, assuming all entitlements are taken up this week, then it would still be difficult for him to get to 75%. I agree that I don't think that's his intention. GLA
Osaka, I think that the sp reflects the anticipated post-OO situation. Going on very approximate figures, we were around 0.12 when it was announced and say you had 10m shares at that point, then if you take up your full entitlement, you would have 32,501,060 at a new average of 0.0438 and that was why the sp closed there on Tuesday & Wednesday of this week, in readiness for the OO deadline. Since then however, there has been significant activity yesterday and today, bearing in mind that shares bought now are not entitled to the OO, so some peeps are willing to pay a 50% premium over the mathematical post-OO sp. Make of that what you will!! GLA
I agree Wassatt although surely this whole OO is the point of principle on which Emin stepped down, presumably due to a major disagreement on the way forward. If so, then possibly he will not take up his full entitlement although that will place him in a poor position dilution-wise.
Understand how you feel Northern but to be honest I was really surprised that the sp didn't drop to 0.06p when it was announced that that was the price at which NTOG executed their trade with SOS. I am on record that morning selling up for that reason but I then bought back in when it was clear the reason for no sp drop was in fact WED (otherwise it would have fallen to 0.06 as usual in those circumstances imo). Now I think it's clear that NTOG will be eager to get out asap and thus sp is finally at their level. Will it go lower? Not in my opinion because surely fundamentals must support the sp now. If it drifts further, I would expect WED and/or the BoD to jump in because if they have no faith at these levels, then why on earth should we?! Ultimately, if RNS are to be believed, we are profitable at $30 a barrel and we're well above that so.......invest for the long term! GLA
Volume trades at end of day yesterday, together with sp drop, suggests NTOG speeding up their exit. The sooner they go, the sooner sp can stabilise. GLA
Clouds and Silver Linings come to mind. On the one hand, Consolidation ALWAYS results in a lower valuation/sp for some reason, probably because it paves the way to an easier Placing if required. On the other hand, knowing that, I suspect NTOG will be keen to exit quicker because ML will look mighty stupid if he makes a loss on the SOS holding having bigged it up in one of their recent RNS. Short term sp drop, followed by stabilisation and a gradual recovery when full implication of WED investment feeds through to bottom line. Once again, MAGP has become a 'Put them in the Bottom Drawer and leave' share. GLA L1
GD, I think you can read something into the NTOG RNS from this morning where ML mentioned just about everything they are doing at the moment apart from the SOS MAGP stake. My take on that is he will make a quick turn and divest them asap as the Great Plan NTOG & SOS hatched has been headed off by RW. He has never been backward in using an RNS to get as much info out there as possible so the non-mentioning of MAGP leads me to believe that they will extricate themselves for a 50% profit on their investment (bearing in mind they paid around 0.06p to SOS, which may actually stand for Silly Old S*d!! GLA
Just seen this thread and the simple answer is NTOG stake. All other things being equal, they won't move the sp until it's cleared and that will take a bit longer or a bit of cracking news. GLA
Confirmation that they have already sold c15% of the SOS shares. Suggest they will simply turn them round for a profit and the overhang will disappear over next few weeks. Good riddance when that finally happens! GLA
Chris, I don't believe it!! Talk about a blast from the past matey - how goes it? Still here after all these years although have sold up to establish loss against other gains and rebought so now I have an average of only 0.09 for quite a few. However, in real life including my MAGP Mark 1 investment, my overall average is around 1.1p so still miles away from here! Best L1
Forscene contract extension in NY. Is it Madison Square Gardens? Anyway, good news and further 'validation' of its success as a product. Just need more companies using it now! GLA
Well done GD - good find. GLA
Bak, on the plus side, looking back through the trades and late reporting since Friday, looks like 50m could have gone already. Those 2 x 12.5m late reported + Friday large sells + 11m today could see ML already reduced by 25% of the SOS stake of c.200m. As £60k of the NTOG purchase was financed by new shares at an implied price of 2.5p per share and they are now languishing at 1.5p bid, I would imagine ML very keen to divest asap and so, as you say, will sell into any rise. That said, doesn't take much to shift that overhang if there's decent interest post the Friday news so I reckon there may well be some late reported trades again today.
Scrap that - wasn't looking at the earlier pattern! Best L1
Morning David - why do you think it's a sell out of interest? Best L1
About 2 minutes after a 10:1 Consolidation! (Must surely come soon with all the shares now in issue)
How about 3 Little Birds ('Don't worry about a thing')!! Great news!
