Concepta PLC (AIM: CPT), the personalised healthcare company, announces the launch of its DNA testing service, following the recent acquisition of The Genome Store. The testing service will be launched today under the new MyHealthChecked™ brand and the first test swab kit available will be a fast and reliable direct to consumer COVID-19 lab-based PCR test available to the UK public via a new ecommerce website.



The MyHealthChecked™ COVID-19 testing service will use the Clarigene® SARS-CoV-2 test supplied by Yourgene Health plc (AIM: YGEN) and the PrimeStore® MTM sample collection device supplied by EKF Diagnostic Holdings plc (AIM: EKF). The MyHealthChecked™ testing service allows samples to be quickly and conveniently taken at home using simple nasal collection swabs which are then sent via free postage for processing using established laboratory-based DNA and RNA detection methods.

I agree Surprised - plus, you always know MM's are squealing when they put up a spread that you can drive a bus through! Looks like they need stock so perhaps the buyer is a serious accumulator - not ramping, just observing the trading pattern over last few days. GLA

Just to put that in perspective, when the sp went mental in summer 2018 and was around a high of 8p, there were 3,540,121,000 shares in issue or a MCAP of c.£283m so 1p now would be the equivalent of around half of the MCAP from those heady days, even with all the ridiculous dilution. So, the question is, how much have the core fundamentals changed in the intervening 2 years?

1p would be a MCAP of £140m - assuming no further dilution - is that realistic with what we know? Might be, what do peeps think? GLA

I fully appreciate that we all think this hearing is taking place at the moment but just wondering if we are sure. The reason is that according to the courts list, it is taking place tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10:15h - see link below and text

It’s been a very long time since I last posted but this is a rock solid long term play for all the LTH’s like me. Covid is a passing phase, albeit very significant, and unfortunately the govt have placed their orders without us. Longer term though, the story, the superb R&D and the spread of our products around the major global markets means, imho, it is when and not if, we fly. The 250,000 buy today posted after hours certainly says I’m not the only one with this view! GLA

Really good news for all the LTH's, especially pleased for you WJ - Wassatt may not have seen it but he knew it would happen! As mentioned by all below, financing shouldn't be a huge obstacle now given a) the commercial purity and b) having twice as much demand as we can supply.
Just for fun, I looked up my first investment in TSTR - it was 500,000 @ 0.081 on April 2nd 2012 and have added many, many times since. So, 7 and 1/2 years later, I think I can wait another 6-12 months for a proper reward! It's coming! GLA.

WassattJunior - I have just looked in for the first time in quite a while and am shocked and saddened by your news. Your father was a great inspiration to many with a wealth of well researched advice for those who sought it and was highly respected on these boards. Although conversing via LSE a while ago, I did not have the pleasure of meeting him but a pleasure it would surely have been and my thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. I'm with you Crude - as you know I'm a LTH and my original investment is still showing a very healthy profit even at these levels (av around 10p) but the point is that at one stage ages ago, I had written Sound Oil (as was) off completely when Gerry was at the helm and put them in the 'bottom drawer' never actually expecting them to recover. So, putting that into perspective, JP has a lot of credit in the bank where I am concerned. That said, being objective, most people are in here at higher levels than 40p and, in that respect, there has been a great deal of hype from the BoD. However, is it the market or the BoD that has us at this relatively low level? What if the BoD are still absolutely correct and it is simply a matter of time before the LE actually takes us all to the level we hope for? I think it's the market and I, for one, am happy to let the year run out and see if JP's predictions can be realised. This sector is always a slow burner so i will be patient and see. GLA.

Morning all LTH's - this is total pants where the MCAP is �250k and yet the assets are worth well over �1m so why don't we, or some other company, buy MAGP before the delisting and asset-strip it to death? At least we'd get more back than this!!

Lots of Buys being filled. The amounts of the 'Sells' are too exact to be spur of the moment so they are likely to be slightly late reported buys imo. GLA

Excellent tie-up for VirtualStock. Win canton are huge and have a very impressive customer base who will be introduced to VS leading The Edge system, potentially leading to new direct contracts. GLA
