Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
A difference of opinion as to how to proceed presumably in which case it’s a positive because either the very IP experienced Jack said ‘Settle’ and Maxwell disagree in which case hopefully we win the case OR he said ‘Keep Going’ and Maxwell disagree in which case a settlement would appear likely. Perhaps I’m just an optimist but it would appear to be a positive imo. GLA
* to clarify I mean IF there was one serious investor NOT ‘there is’ as far as I know! Was not dishing out rumour there!
It’s a good tie up and, with a MCAP of just £2m and only 4m shares in issue, if it begins to move, it could be a very sharp sp movement. One serious investor on the horizon could easily transform SJH. GLA
Would like to see us called AGEN so we’re at the top of these lists instead of the bottom!!! GLA
Hi StM - yes of course, re-reading your post I see that. Delighted you’re in now far far lower and I, like you, averaged down about 2 months ago in the 1.2 range with a decent amount hence the 3.39p. Let’s hope Graham can salvage something and I may yet see a decent return!! GLA
StM and all LTH's - I've just gone through all my transactions in Sound since Gerry days from my first trade of buying 100,000 @ 1.81 on March 29th 2012 through this month and, having bought £84,211 of stock and sold £64,736, I am left with 575,000 at an average of 3.39p. So, after all the JP led £1 hype and my lowest entry of just 0.49 in September 2012, I am now roughly back where I started!! What a roller coaster but I was very surprised that my overall average was so low due to the buys and sells at the 70p/80p/90p levels. StM, you've been here a long time, are you sure that your average may not be lower (bear in mind those cheap warrants, etc back in 2014, 15 and 16).
I hope it's better than 52p but if so, I'm sorry to hear that as we all felt this was a serious stock once upon a time. GLA, especially the battered LTH's
Least they've got something on Twitter about the Boots test:

Don't forget either that the BoD bought c.300,000 at 25.29/25.37 two weeks ago so they feel confident. Bearing in mind that they have also picked up over 10m shares between them since 2019 with only one significant sells from Stephen Streater leaving him with 'only' 66m shares (there was a Bed and Isa by Andrew Bentley last April by the look of it), they keep putting their money where the mouth is so I, for one, deem any price below their most recent entry, as a bargain. Hence, I will add below 25.37p happily at present. GLA

Over 500 - OK, been around, opinion may well be valid
100-500 - View worthy of consideration
50-100 - If genuine, too much of a newbie and good chance of nonsense
Under 50 - Utter b****cks, no idea yet how to invest if genuine, 99% chance paid rapper/deramper (delete as appropriate) and full of cr*p.

Bearing in mind the relatively modest sales and that these shares were options bought for 5p, it strikes me as likely that these sales are to utilise each directors CGT allowance before year end next week, especially with Easter in the middle.
In my opinion, these are a) not large, b) totally understandable timing and c) depending on news announced and/or in the pipeline, PDMR’s often have small windows in which to trade. The BoD still own a huge number and percentage of shares between them so I wouldn’t jump overboard quite yet! GLA
Let us not forget that in recent months there was a real chance of disappearing without trace. How many times have experienced investors on here seen suspension lead to oblivion? I for one am glad that we are back in the game and have a future and, whilst I’m not a fan of ambulance chasers in law, I do think that possibly our way back up wil be via the St Francis legal cases. GLA
Agreed MW - no ongoing royalties re the infringement but I would hope that a new partnership from now on would realise royalties going forward on the new, improved tech which CPX have created since the infringement to the benefit of both parties. Time will tell. GLA
Lest we forget:
- Supercapacitor market growing exponentially
- CPX are not only at the forefront of the technology but now have their production line up and running
- Mobile phone tie up
- 1st Tier Automotive tie up
- IoT also growing exponentially
But, in my opinion, cherry on icing on cake is a settlement with Tesla/Maxwell NOT necessarily because it would be large up front but because a future partnership would be immensely beneficial to both parties. I am in YGEN and there was a dispute with Illumina over us infringing their patent - no clear admission as to who was responsible but ultimately a settlement has seen us go on from there in a partnership agreement with them. With CPX, if Maxwell don’t settle and create an ongoing agreement, they won’t be privy to the huge leaps forward in the tech that CPX have made since the infringement. I mean, the offence was years ago since which time CPX have been making smaller and more powerful supercaps, improving all the time. If, like YGEN, Tesla/Maxwell came to the table with a sensible proposition for the future, CPX would surely take it and it would be beneficial for both. Court cases cost time, money and take management’s eye off the real prize which is being at the forefront of a huge industry.
Stick with this stock - the story is far from over and a 12-24 month view will see you hugely in the money in my opinion. GLA
Another good contract to add to BIRD’s growing list of uses and clients. It hasn’t been particularly obvious just how much BIRD is growing and has grown in the last 12 months. It is in a transformational period with contract after contract building on world leading tech.
Hold on tight - the ride is really beginning to pick up speed now. GLA
