@Pandamonia, I see, thanks for the insight, will bear that in mind! :)
Obviously not intending to rely on TA for LT investing, my interest is more on the academic front of helping me to predict what price I might be able to get in at, so as to maximise returns in the long run on a company where my FA has convinced me that it's a great long-term option, if that makes sense? :)
@Offmessage, nice one, thank you, I'll have a look at it! :)
Newdealz, thank you for that mate, really helpful! I've dabbled a tiny little bit, so have a very basic understanding, but super keen to learn more! I primarily invest long term, so I stay away from leveraging and spread betting, and use my ISAs before general investing accounts, but getting an understanding of the technical stuff interests me a lot. So yeah, thanks for this really helpful info! :)
@Newdealz where are you creating these charts?
I am genuinely interested in learning a bit more about TA (knowledge is power right?), but also note there is a comical element to your charts, so unsure if you are just being purely satirical, or if there is actual substance to some of these charts you're sharing with us? And if so, would be interested to learn where you source these charts and any good sources of info on TA would be greatly appreciated :)
Yeah, it's absolutely laughable... I mean, it's not like Evraz thought to themselves when they were selling the steel to UralVagonZavod "oh yeah, this is going to be a great support to the Russian war effort in Ukraine, which isn't even a thing yet, but we have a magic crystal ball that tells us so and we want to help".... like jesus, the government is eternally finding new ways to dissapoint us... they are infuriating!
Lets just hope this is all over soon and sanctions get removed quickly.... naturally of course hoping for the humanitarian reasons in at least equal measure to the selfish investing ones....
Likewise!
Wish I'd bought in at only 100p, but I was busy buying into EVR at the time, and hindsight is 20/20!
Hmm, cheers for thughts guys!
Have had a couple of quotes shown, interespersed with messages of no live quotes so I reckon Floor is probably right...
Thanks for the help folks! :)
Looking to buy some POLY in my AJ bell LISA , but it keeps saying unable to get a live online quote... any ideas as to why that might be?
yeah, what are you expecting? You say that as if you're expecting it not to be? There has been no real news on anything, so why would they unsuspend the shares? Let them stay suspended until the war and uncertainty are over... yeah, it means savvy investors who want to top up and capitalize on the uncertainty won't be able to do that, but at least nobody's loosing what they already have either....
Brilliant work today ISA! I've not been able to read much of it as I've been at work, and about to go to my second job, but looking forwards to an in depth read of what you've reported over the weekend...
A shame that pig headed investors with delusions of grandeur thought their tuppence on the situation would add a lick of value to the court proceedings... Am equally disappointed as you are, as I agree with your sentiments on the matter... Would've been better to let creditors talk and display their own selfishness and stupidity to antagonise Dicker and push him more towards our favour.... Seems like buffoons all round really... Except for you of course, who are much appreciated! :)
Yeah, I know what you mean! I had a sneaking feeling yesterday that there would be a drop today for some reason or another - profit takers, some maybe in fear and stop loss orders, and of course the unforeseen surprise which is characteristic of our dear Amigo....
Overall happy though, just topped up with 17304 @ 23.11p...
Been holding 7640 from buying at @6.54p and 18317 from buying @0.1467, so my average has gotten a fair bit higher, but that's purely due to when I had funds available... And average of 16.61p is pretty decent all things considered... Looking forwards to what the next few weeks and months should bring! :D
Hey Amigos!Been out of the loop for the last 4 weeks due to work demands, so got a couple of questions for you all...1. Any big news I've missed in the last 4 weeks?2. What's people's predictions for the pre-results? Are we expecting a bit of profit-taking dip, or just more surge? - I ask this, as I've got some of my shares in my freetrade GIA (due to not having any more room in my ISA's from last fiscal year, and not having had enough time to sell and re-buy in one of my ISA's this year) so am weighing up the risk/reward of selling them to re-buy in an ISA.. Only have about £5K in my GIA at current level(of which about £2K is profit this fiscal year), so realistically, the SP would need to about triple from this price before I start getting hit with tax... so maybe not really worth it, but yeah, any thoughts on that would be appreciated :)3. Vote results date - I have in my head as the 12th, but for some reason the 14th is also coming to mind... upon google I've seen 12th as the day of vote meeting, but am unclear on whether the results will be released on that day?Much love and GLA! :)
Nice one, much obliged Xenor!
And agreed, they response is preem!
I couldn't find it either :/
Wow, this has become... interesting...
Not interested in getting involved with the... uh... debate... But do hmu with that general share discovery group of yours Mousey, if you do end up setting one up! It would certainly be of interest :)
Ah, fair enough, I was not privvy to that! it's pathetic that people feel the need to belittle others on here... I get it when it's rampers and derampers posting incessantly useless ****, but when reasonable points are offered, we should all have the maturity to respond reasonably, even if we disagree... Bloody shame that...
As you were then :)
Mike_Hunt is there really a need for all the rudeness dude? Am sure you could convey your message without having to insult all the brits on this chat... Just seems in poor taste is all, as you do make some reasonable points in your posts...
Mazik, I need to know where your son works - I could do with 8K per month with incentive... heck, I'd be happy with 4K per month right now!
Nice one, thank you Mouse! :D
I've not yet had time to check out MEd properly, will look into them soon as I have some time and send you my thoughts :)
Although, with energy, I would recommend adding Shell (RDSB) to your watchlist - price still fairly low in comparison to the company's true value, and they've been doing lots of investing into cleaner energy projects... Yes, bit of a shady past and a few legal things going on (but then again what oil company hasn't?) but the BOD seem to have the right attitude towards transitioning into greener energy... I bought them back in august, so have seen a nice ROI already, but given the dividend and recovery potential, they're worth looking into further if you haven't already :)
