The Times today. Canny punters were keeping an eye on Omega Diagnostics which is developing kit to determine the suitability of HIV sufferers for antiretroviral drug therapies. The original technology, traders said, came out of an Australian university, backed by funding from the Gates Foundation, to which Andrew Shepard, Omega's founder and managing director has been adviser. Last week a block of shares changed hands at 15p a share, promoting speculation about stake building before an update on the trial of the testing kit, expected soon. Might the foundation be looking to buy in some wondered?
