daramuda, why is that relevant. Alba could just follow what JAY did from the beginning, prove up the resource, getting a bigger market cap along the way, or they could look at a farm in. The big thing going on for Alba right now is a flow test at Horse Hill, if that's successful. Alba will have an income stream, and a much bigger market cap. What is for sure, If JAY make a success of things (I think they will) in Greenland, Thule next door wont be left just to the walruses

If JAY don't take over Alba, It's a possibility a big mining company with deep pockets might, or even farm in, that would meen competition next door. Alba has a lot more going for it than a gold mine. It has a small market cap and could easily be snapped up by a major. JAY could offer an all share bid, so wouldn't cost anything. Not sure if the Greenland government would be happy for JAY to control all the Ilmenite though.

Without doubt the 100m buy and all the rest, had to be the placing shares being flipped, the spread was too wide for any confusion over buy sell volume. 260m bought v 30.5m sold, that's the best part of the placing share gone. What will be interesting to see when the TR1 is out, did the purchaser of the 100m buy more than that? Have they finished buying? Is it a savvy investment trust? A joint development partner wanting in? Or possibly could it turn out to be an aggressive takeover? The funding worry has been holding Alba back, now that is out of the way, It wouldn't supprise to see a more realistic market cap, very soon. 25m seems about right to me.

Quite right CofE, BMD's comments only helped the MM's make more money. Some Pi's panicked sold and had their trousers pulled down. Looks like the placing was done at mates rates. Clearly there was a big demand for the stock, so placing could have been bigger and at a higher price. Think most of the placing (if not all) shares were forward (flipped) sold today. there was so much stock sold, the MM's had to have got from somewhere. So not at all worried about placing stock coming onto the market. My own oppion of course.

would have thought a lot of the placing shares may have already been sold short. Looks to me like the MM's are selling stock they do not have, most likely in anticipation of buying it back later, many buys are flooding in over the millions, including one of 7 mil and 5 mil, could be a bear squeeze if a lot of placing stock does not come back on the market as anticipated.

wilk1, Last trade was a buy at 0.363, last sell was 0.3475, It was about that price last Friday. Can't see it staying low myself. It will be heading up soon, flow test about to start. Can I be the first to say: I wouldn't want to be out over the long weekend.
