They do it with the spread, buys and sells can be closer to the bid or offer that's advertised. Sometimes a trade is late reported, and goes in the wrong volume count.

Plenty of big companies were once small, Asos springs to mind. Bluejay were 1 or 2 pence not so long ago. I've been lucky with some and done well, Also lost out on quite a few.

From memory, the MM's can hold upto 10% of share capital without issuing a TR1, a non UK institution can hold upto 5% without issuing a TR1 I've heard of wealthy individuals holding more than 3% unaware they have to submit the TR1, if they purchased using an execution only broker, the amount can be overlooked when pooled with many other private investors.

I very much doubt, anyone believe you hold any shares here, unless you are talking about a short position.
