CC, To be honest, what I'm not sure about! Is the land really worth fighting for?
1st you have to consider it has no planning permission, also will planning ever be granted? History suggests the locals have not been very obliging in that respect. I'm told, in Italy, hands need to be greased to get things done, so always hope.
2nd It was put in the shop window and there was only one bid of the minimum amount, would that be because no one else (apart from CLP) thinks it has any value. Fact of the matter, it was looked at, then put on the market with virtually no interest.
3rd Why was the statement: "The Company will not be bidding in the auction" put in the RNS. If CLP wanted the land so much, why did we not put in a bid just above the minimum amount, then paid the expenses. Might have been cheaper than litigation.
