7Seven, In my opinion UEN is fundamentally undervalued, location and political worries are holding it back, over done IMO. It's paying a dividend, so profits are real and liquid. Spread can be wide at times but also can narrow on good volume. Producing 2000 bopd, drilling news close, own a refinery worth more than the M cap, A cash injection of more than half the M cap coming in November from next shipment, that's providing oil price does not collapse, not long before holders qualify for 5+% dividend.

Yes agree, the further you back from the shore line the less likely replenishment by sea and storm activity, but would not exclude new fluvial deposition on lower lying ground after excavation, albeit a very slow process.
I thought all of the beach was of interest though, "Including Dredging" especially now we have found permafrost two meters down! The ilmenite is more concentrated closer to the sea and that location may be of more interest now.
But we will have to wait and see what plan they come up with and what permission is obtained.

No mention of placer deposits in the video, that's not to say placer deposits have not occurred.
However they talk about rivers cutting through the Dundas formations bringing down sediment forming delta systems.
Also active fluvial deposition, with sediment carried from the ilmenite source rock.

my understanding, the black-sand/ilmenite is carried out to sea by rivers, then washed up onto the beach. The waves constant washing over many years, leave the heavy elements/ilmenite behind.

lower standing ground will be more prone to higher tide progression, over many years storms may play there part in replenishing the deposits

Not a bad idea dsfat, But suppose they started excavating from one end of the beach and going down to the permfrost level, slowly moving along until they reach the other end. (6 miles would take a long time) By the time they got there, 2 things will have happened. Obviously with permafrost being exposed, a top layer will thaw, maybe to 2 meters depth! Or a bit less. But what also should happen. (In my opinion) As the excavated part of beach will now be lower standing, new material will be washed up replacing what has been taken away. Especially If any storms happen.

Would of thought the permafrost was known to Alba and in It's calculations before taking on the licence. A lot of ilmenite is easy accessible to a depth of 2 meters. Dredging could be the big game changer at TBS.
I'm guessing the cliffs that overlook some of the beache's may obstruct direct sunlight! Further away going towards the sea, much less so!

HH is flow testing is the main event for now, won't be long before they move onto the next zone and news of how comercial the first one is.

Yes, 2 meters in depth for 6 miles is a lot of ilmenite. If the grade is good, very likely to be commercial.
I'm wondering if/when the permafrost is exposed to sunlight (after excavation) how quick will it melt?
How deep can excavations go anyway, before risk of sea water flooding? Looks like there's lots of water pools on Alba's and JAY beach's, could they both be low lying terrain?
Does/will permafrost have any impact on dredging? Does it extend under the sea? If so should think it would melt very quickly once exposed!
