Investors analysis of me28 Nov 2025 12:46
Re KevinRound; I recently read a load of his posts on other boards. Got the impression that he is a wannabe trader who decided during COVID lockdowns that he would have a go at that game.
I have a social board (ticker gold.l) where a few posters post about stocks and give each others tips, this is where he got the below information from.
I started during Covid, I had some extra money and was bored so started investing, I transferred a small pension pot into a SIPP and use this. I'm only mid 30's now so started early 30's, I do apologies I didn't start at 18 like Investor did. I started to invest as its fun and as I'm only using a small pot of money so no big deal if I loose it all. If it goes big in the next 20 years I retire early, if it doesn't I work a bit longer..... Oh well.
Seems that he lost money for his first couple of years, but reckons he has made some of it back with a better year this year. He talked about losing £80.00 on one trade, and we know about him supposedly losing about £35.00 recently on one MATD trade that lasted just one day....😂
Sadly it was a few duff years, way too many "hold for results" getting greedy looking for the "multi bags" and going "all in" on a stock which I learned loses you money. Over the last year I've amended my strategy and take smaller wins, spread my investment across a few shares to mitigate the risks try and go for safe bets that offer 10-20% returns in a few months. I lost £35 quid here earlier this month as the Friday before it had a fomo Friday so I gambled on one the following week but it didn't occur so after trading fees I lost 35 quid. I've more or less recovered this year all my money lost so this has been a good year.
He said that he trades using his pension money, and hopes to build up in the next 20 years. He's going to have to work hard to do that given those £80.00 and £35.00 losses which give an idea of how much he actually trades with....
Id hate to of put thousands in here like some LTH's and be massively under water. So what if I put a grand trade on rather than a 10k trade. I sleep at night not fearing if it will drop further or if it will multibag tomorrow. My salary has started to go up steeply recently so Ill be able to pour more into my trading pot but right now with three young kids I’m happy where I am. Id rather take my family on holiday buy the kids what they want rather than being able to say on here to a load of randoms I have loads of money in a high risk share.
