The sweet spot for small-cap oil is the "Value Gap" between regulatory approval and the first drill bit hitting the ground, and Petro Matad ($MATD) is currently the ultimate play in this space.

The sweet spot is when drilling is announced and funding is secure, right now a fundraise could drop tomorrow so sadly its not the ultimate play.

Hopefully it will be a farmout but its not secured yet.....

No its just a poor education system. Being an amatuer trader is about knowing the markets and how they respond. Sadly I don't know much about Mongolia however its next door neighbour is an international power house so just shows you the kind of country Mongolia is.

I guess you raise when the sp is high so waiting a few months has helped to reduce the dilution.

Well the war has made domestic oil even more important so in theory someone like Panr should be even more desirable.

I think the raise price of 7 pence was the bottom so I don’t think we will see that again. One to watch as any updates from he company could tank it 20% temporarily so then be a good time to buy.

This farm in could take months to come through, it’s a shame we msssed the rise yesterday it maybe will go on a run but look at Matd that farm in has been going on for over 6 months.

That’s a good point by giving set dates it helps to drive up the interest as people buy in for the expectations that a contract will be signed

That's done totally against what I said but its still up 35% so doing really well. How many times has a company said fully funded then done a raise?

I'm not sure about a rebrand, I just think Alaska is just too expensive for a small explorer to do it. 88e struggle too. It needs deep pockets to explorer that region.

I read that update as either GEX have asked for a discount or asking to pay another way either in shares on maybe upon completion.

Its like they have proposed something and asking the rig operator to consider it. Usually its the other way round, we have a rig available and its 2 mil to rent etc.

Nope so that raise they did was just to cover the lights and enoloyeee wages. People in the bb are going mad saying how good it is etc but all I saw was no drilling for the near future so that will tank the sp.

New people coming in won’t make much difference, the issue is the cost to drill a well, if they could do it cheap they could do a few a year and if some are dusters nevermind. At the prices they pay they hit a duster and it’s 30-40 million gone in one hit.

Panr have just put an update out that says whilst they look for a jv/ farm other gonna stop doing any exploration work so that will tank the sp this morning.
