Previous Sidara's offer is 230p(1.6 Billion pounds) if I remember correctly. Now the current offer is 30p (200mil) is 12.45% of the previous bid. Sidara has lot of leg room in the deal. Sidara is in strong position now and has a lot of room for maneuver in the negotiation price wise.

Results are not that horrendous as well. Sidara's timing is very good and lucky to get wood group at this cheap price, even if the offer price is doubled from 30p.

Previously I went into suspension with Revb, in which price doubled with in days of coming out. I did not expect to WG to take this long. I think many people sell on Monday arround 27-28p and move on. But It is better wait till AGM vote. Almost always first proposal price is the starting point. To increase 50% more does not cost Sidara much.

There will be lots of early exits at 28-29p. There might be increased offer, but it may not be worth the risk. Better invest somewhere.

I suspect accounts will look bad. It is not difficult for Sidara to manage the accountants. Accounts might get big brown envelops too. Looks like, 30p is a done deal unless some IIs object as they need 75% vote.

Deal may be good for employees till they train new batch of people. They can search for other jobs meanwhile. Look at employees of P&O Ferries, once it was takenover by Dubai-based global logistics company DP World. Same fate to Wood's group employees also.

Actually there is no need of the formal offer at this time as share holders vote will be 2 to 3 months away except to tamper the expectations. SIdara might increase their offer to entice the shareholders/institutions before voting. This is just the start of negotiation. Moreover lots of people sell at 28-29p once the accounts published and resume trading. Sidara can buy a lot at cheap rate once it starts trading.

AGM will be interesting, which might happen in November and the share holders vote.

So, We have to wait till accounts, i.e probably in October. We might get interims also in Interims. 30p price will depend on the accounts including interims. If the accounts are very bad, 30p will sail through. They already have 0.209% support from board. They have to get only 74.8% more.

Due to the delayed annual results, Sidara appears to be strategically lowering shareholder expectations, potentially engaging in psychological tactics like reducing the offer price, increase the social media negativity. Board may be receiving personal some benefits or incentives and guarantees from Sidara.

Medjed, In that case, there was no need to put 35p number which sounded sinister and caused more panic.

At least 80% of comments , these shorts/sidara people are talking themselves to convince people of their agenda. Until WG publishes accounts, it is waste of time to even glance at this forum.

Looks like lots of shorts are working in tandem with SIdara to convince people to accept offer price of £242 million. I dont understand why these shorts active during suspension. If these are regular shorts, they cover many stocks, but most of these people comment on WG only.

91 has yet to publish selling data for 2 days Thursdays Nd Friday. Probably we publish form 8.3 to zero on Monday.

Rights issue can very murky at this low price & market cap of 120 mil. Synt had discount of 84% for the previous day price. RR rights issue was at 42%. Raising capital via rights issue in the current environment is very difficult. Best outcome is sidara's current or raised offer.

Ninety one slowed selling, but they did not buy. They still have 8,249,770. They sold 221,049 only yesterday. Previously they used sell at least 3mil a day.

As of Yesterday 15/4, Ninety one got 17,335,819. They must be near to completion of sale.

Probably Ninety on UK will finish selling by tomorrow.
