What did we really get for years of infringement ? Not a lot and we signed off on lifetime of the patents….with no Blame on Samsung ..even though as pointed out they had to settle because they knew they would lose the case as they had been clearly infringing.

They named their terms..should have been the other way round , but as the company pointed out they had no competency in infringement litigation on the board. Figures.

They are a small company and not the leader in the sector and commercial production ,,that is Nanoco of course. There is a difference between such articles industry press and on your website and silly puff pieces on SKY and the Daily Mail which said nothing new at all and had zero impact on the share price it seems. I would like more information on how Nanoco fits in the sector and grows its revenues with some facts and producing thought pieces could be a good way of showing where the company is and where its going. Relying on Yole and that STM didn’t develop the technology to sell small amounts is really not good enough. Nobody should be surprised at the lack of interest here or the pathetic valuation..Blair some posts on bb’S really…Blair the folks who run the business at the position they have got in where they talk in riddles and have nothing to support their often missed forecasts and guidance.

The fact that this company has never delivered anything that has deliver shareholder value after many attempts over many years means it is not clever having blind faith in them delivering and that questioning researching and trying to stand things up is a natural reaction by shareholders. Blaming posters not the executives is an odd reaction by the way. Think a boy it !

Only one desperate is the one who said the shares would not adjust after the tender…the ones who called it right are probably comfortable with events and have been able to take a material benefit from the capital distribution and have either moved the cash elsewhere waited and bought back close to levels predicted and/or waiting for further opportunity on further weakness. For many it really has gone according to plan. Very relaxed in the paddock.

The posts on Shoei and the still silence on commercial traction are all valid. It would be lovely to be discussing potential growth in the markets ( unknown) that the stm sensor (unknown) and the commercial order size ( unknown) are aimed at but alas. Very good point on Metalenz…if only Nanoco was able to market their wares to the rest of the world with some more information on current use.

I see Shoei already has FAB installed in their facility maybe bit of catch up going on there?

On serious note that looks a serious investment and intent by Shoei ..not the failure of Nanosys as a significant commercial competitor.

They got $60m for the licence settling infringement for all past use and for all future use..

$90m was selling 118 patents…not something anyone factored in to the multiples. What Samsung wanted from those patents ..a portfolio already cut back to the most commercial viable we probably will find out in due course.

But the multiples really was referring to the settlement of past infringement through court.

Yep they could have taken less for pre trial settlement but remember the trial was only for historic USA use not all past and future global use which should have been a far larger number of multiples anyway.

Well appears the big print at 17.75p on the close was likely a seller rather than nanoco buy back…the buyback still seems to be on pause for some reason ..and yesterday was a higher volume day with some larger prints below 18p. It would have been very easy to be involved if they had wanted to. Bit odd now.

Guessing that print near the close is the buy back again ..323, 863 @ 17.75p..£57485 worth..not 100% but think they have stepped back in..might indicate they are seeking to mop up on weakness as that’s their lowest prints if its them.

Near infrared is just as valid for Nanoco technology as that termed SWIR so that is not a factor..i raised VD55GI some time ago as being the most likely and haven’t changed that view but also have nothing to confirm it either. But most of the research you can do goes round in circles..there are some good older pieces on STMs use of QDs in sensors but nothing linking that to a current or proposed product. Somewhat frustrating and difficult to know why its such a big secret.

They have shareholder authority , they have given that authority to Cavendish to execute at their discretion independent of the company.They have £1.7m left committed to the buyback.Normally such a remit is done on a daily basis at a % of volume. The activity has been erratic against volume and previously a day was missed, but this time 4 days looks like a considered halt. No idea why and can think of a valid reason…since they have committed to buy back and have led the market to think that the shares are undervalued ( see broker note) and there should be further orders surely they should be cracking on and doing what they said they would do. If good news comes and the shares jump justified to question why they did not continue the buyback when the shares were 20% below levels they had paid mid April i guess.

Good digging..though we don’t even know if thats the sensor our materials are in ! Again seems strange to me that stm have been out there demonstrating the great advantage of using QDs in short and near wave infrared sensors yet do not mention them as a USP in their wares. Nothing even in technical spec.

Not 100% i thought i had seen launch or available March previously so there may be a change in designation..difficult to understand the full relevance.

What is interesting on the “commercial” nature of the November order is that commercial orders were subject to a minimum volume ..specified ..but not to shareholders!.

2021..you say ! But anyhow after 2 years of r&d developing bespoke products you might have thought such a minimum commercial order might have been more than $200k or so ( which i believe from published information to be the case..maybe smaller)

To tell us they have a minimum specified volume in the agreement ..but don’t tell us what it was is so Nnanoco ..grey grey and more grey.

When is something still in R&D phase and when is something a commercial order?

Anyway with the scraps we know..we know nothing really.

So 4 days without making a buyback print all very mysterious as to why they have stopped but it is showing the shares are forming a support base in the short term at around 18p without the support of the buyback.
