The point I was making was not that the covidity situation is like GC in any way. Its the treating something like its destined to happen that I am guarded against. The reality is that scancell will no doubt be in the running for CEPI consideration, but they are one of many. Over hyping it before its even remotely on the table can blow up, as it has in the past.

At crumbs, you mentioned the grand challenge and that has been playing on my mind recently, as I see this CEPI business as going down the same path. The grand challenge was spoken on here for a long while (myself included) as though it was a done deal. It really did come as quite a shock that we didn't get any funding from it. It caused quite a bit of a re-trace when we didn't win.

The difference this time is we just don't NEED the money. Yes any CEPI no strings attached money would be amazing, but we are not (at this stage) dependent on it. We have the gov and redmile money to get Covidity through P1 trials, and if successful we will have people queueing at the door to invest. Let's not all hang too many hopes and expectations on CEPI when we don't need to.

nothing that specific - more like "We aim to have the potatoes planted in H1 of this year, with a expectation that they can be harvested in 2021"

All those trading and selling up on the basis that this will "do nothing until the trial is underway" could find themselves locked out of these profits pretty quickly.

I would have thought that collaboration may in fact bring additional reporting requirements. For example, the trial is being funded by taxpayer money, surely that in itself brings a need for greater transparency.

I too was thinking about the delivery method the other day. I was trying to work out the risk for investing further, given that we can assume the SP will rise significantly on trial announcement/start. We know that the trial is funded, the platform tech has been used in patient's before with little side effects, there is a huge desire from the government to see variant proof vaccines in trial.. so where is the risk. Thats when I remembered the delivery method. As far as I can see, that is the only "risk" I can see to a significant SP raise here.

Maybe my memory is failing me.. but I seem to remember that as the 1st generation trials were being planned, we had good visibility of what the plans were. We knew from each pharma when they expected to initiate trials. Am I remembering correct?

The reason I ask is because, like usual, it seems Scancell are less forthcoming with information. I'm struggling to understand why we, as shareholders (and the public at large) cannot have more clarity around the process of getting into trials... at least to be kept up to date as key milestones are achieved as a minimum.

I'm more interested to know why, assuming that this circular is true, that one share holder knows trials are due to start in a matter of weeks, but the rest do not.

Given that CH did an investor presentation just a matter of days ago, he had opportunity to align what shareholders knew, and chose not to. He repeated the "starting in 2021" mantra. If Vulpes know otherwise then we should all formally know.

Some good information there - seemed more willing to speak commercial partnerships than he has previously. Disclosed that we have ongoing relationships with a number of big pharma on seemingly all of our platforms, that are looking to be kept up to date with all clinical developments.

I suppose it also depends on what you might consider price sensitive. For example - i hoping from tonight's presentation to get a clearer understanding of where they are in the covidity timeline. I want to know what steps they have got left to achieve, before they can put it into people's arms. Would that be considered "price sensitive" worthy of an RNS?

Not complaining about the content, but could I please ask that you don't start a new thread for each trade? I look at the board in thread view, so new threads for each trade just pushes other threads down the board and pages down. Perhaps just start one thread each day and reply to that?

Seen a lot of comments relating to a "share holder meeting" and even a comment on a vote. The link I posted earlier was to an investor presentation with questions round. It was NOT a shareholder meeting (statutory) and there will be no voting on issues. Apologies if I have somehow contributed to any confusion.

@directinggas - the news report was also re-tweeted by Scancell at the time - surely if the two week time line was far wide of the mark, then the company wouldn't be sharing it via tweet and website.

it could simply be that the company recognises that they have a number of new shareholders as a result of all the activity in the last few weeks, and a shareholder presentation might be a good way to encourage them to stick around.

Of course, it could be that they are about to announce something significant! By Thursday evening it will be just a two days short of two weeks, since the sky news report said trial starting in two weeks.

The trial is for a 1st generation vaccine based on the S protein. I don't think this excludes them partnering with Scancell.

New scancell shareholder presentation and questions. Could suggest news imminent?

As of a stability study published yesterday, BioNtech vaccine no longer needs ultralow temp storage. Can be stored at regular medical freezer temps for up to two weeks. Will probably make the last stages of distribution a lot easier.
