i don't think it is fair to call people expecting far greater recruitment "impatient". At the update Lindy stated there were no barriers to recruitment and set the expectation that 6 per week. The omicron wave seems like a non sensical reason for not being able to recruit - surely they would have had people queuing round the block during a fresh wave. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Wow this is really bad in my opinion. 16 patients recruited isn't "slow recruitment" it is zero recruitment! Since november!

Jan 26th is Interim financial results. We don't yet know if that will include an update on covidity. Many believe it will based on the fact that the 26th is the very day that patient 1 is due their first dose of Scov2. It may of course just be coincidence.

@C7 a lot of commentators and politicians are framing it as though it was a choice between lockdowns or treating cancer. The unfortunate reality is if we had ignored covid and continued to dedicate resources to cancer care, then we would have failed to deliver either. Hospitals would have become overwhelmed. Cancer care has suffered as a consequence of covid, but I do not believe it has suffered as a consequence of our response to covid. IMHO

it doesn't make sense for Vulpes or Calculus to have sold. Vulpes were recently buying at 19.5p so it doesn't make sense for them to sell. Calculus have been long term backers and know Scancell inside out. Why back us through the lean times and then sell right as we are entering our most clinically significant period?

My guess is - Redmile have sold to bring onboard another major investor. They have realised the scale and scope of the Scancell platforms and now want financial assistance / further expertise to "take them all the way".

One thing I have been keeping an eye on is the trial status. There is a status indicating when recruitment is complete, and all recruited patients are allocated to a treatment. This could give an indication as to when all 40 have received their first dose - but that will depend on if they update the trial information on the relevant websites, and if so, how quickly.

I will of course let this board know if it changes.

I have said their are early observational reports that symptoms are milder, but we don't have sufficient data to know that yet. And now these are the arguments you are using back at me?
