No advice intended but from experience try to bet only what you can afford to lose - be aware of any gambling problem(s) you might have - and STOP ... even if just for a while to clear your head.. ditto with AIM shares - unless you spread your risk across a number of companies - it isn't difficult to invest in one that goes bust and you lost the lot..
