Restoration and court case WIN !!

Don't give up guys - PAR is not the first cash shell to be suspended and most have returned to the market ie. all hope was lost with VMP until a miracle happen. Worse case - is there cash left to return to shareholders? gla

Now on UVEL website - looks like further property developments might be on the cards in mainland China BUT fund raising may be required...

Very sad - best to let it go now as there will be some sore shareholders here (I know what it feels like having a share in admin) Hope no one was too over-exposed here..

Not got a big holding here - it's really option money at the moment on value being attached to the hotels

He is well respected, well known on LSE and calls it right 95% + in his posts. Of course we can all do more research or become more experienced in certain modelling/investment methods/tools but no one is perfect - even the experts call it wrong sometimes!

Low free float so it does not take much buying to push share price up and limits down :-) also shareholder presentation (tomorrow?) see Advfn thread gla

Agree - and I cannot see the share price going back to pre budget levels for a long long time - but the shares will hit the floor at some point... remember, there is a three month consulation period so amendments may be made.. and the possible next government (labour) may also make adjustments... I wouldn't be piling in and be over-exposed here but a small investment seems a reasonable idea if you are prepared to hold on for a while gla

Premium price conversion of loans @ 1.35p

I believe NAV/embedded value is circ 152p which excludes ANY new business - annuties are not just going to disappear overnight (or from next March 2015).. perhaps the concern is on future earnings but I read that the PE forward earning is not on a ratio of 5 so surely not much more downside? Of course the company may cut costs to adapt or consider a merger... I will keep holding for the eventual partial recovery back to NAV at least imo gla

Thankfully I don't hold any - it was on my radar but held off - sorry for those here and hope something can come out of this for shareholders

Shares suspended?

The answer is that merging two similar companies should result in cost savings ie. one HR department etc. and the enlarged company would have a better chance of adapting to the changes... PA. might be the hunter or the hunted..
