Some.of the comments on here border on the dangerous...this share is likely to delist in two weeks time, has no cash, and is at an all time low. There is no recovery coming. Wake up and smell the coffee. There seems to be an agenda building up here... If something happens to save the company I be the first to admit I got it wrong. I trust the rsmpers will do like wise if they are wrong. In these types of situations it rarely ends well. Saying this as an active AIM investor...
I'm sorry but why would any one be buying NOW? In 2-3 weeks time the shares may be delisted - I have seen this happen so often with shares were warnings have been given. Not that I have a leg to stand on .. as I traded Debenhams before delisting - my point is I hope these investors a) have money to burn and b) are just doing a short term trade - the only thing that would make sense imho !!
Matlot - you and I go back years - we have both sometimes been invested in the same share at the same time - I note you have been posting on Thomas Cook - so you obviously like high risk!
I see potential for significant upside from this point - far better value than when it was 1p - and we both know that shares like CLP can double overnight with the right news - hence why I suspect you are still looking in here... gl elsewhere
Even if you were right (and I have not seen any holdings RNS to suggest any individual had a significant stake) .. since the direction of travel during the last 6-9 months has been south - I find it hard to fathom how any one has made much money here during 2019 unless they were shorters !!
Little bit out of order - one poster, RKB stated a while back that he had reduced his holding and had no intention of selling any more ... indeed I have no reason to believe he would not inform the thread if he had changed his holding again.. I have no intention of adding or selling since its in a SIPP and I can't retire yet (!)... this is oversold - below NAW - and not factoring in possible material windfalls over the next two years. It's a hold from me.
Sorry, but how do you know that he has made a lot of money over the last few weeks? Two points 1) I have not seen many trades over £1k for quite a while and 2) remember the share price spread (!) so you actually do need the share price to double at these levels to make any worthwhile amount. I agree, he "probably" has traded this quite actively and made a profit - but I doubt it's substantial! BTW a decent person would come on here and admit they called it wrong - I for one, stayed here too long and should have stopped trading it GLA
I take it he is either an ex employee with a grudge or someone who lost a lot of money here... it's been 100% negative for quite some time ... there's so much pending news over the next year... either invest and support your investment or take time out
Well Suckal hasn't appeared yet - perhaps he was Buckingham after all? The company has a lot of explaining to do - why didn't they warn shareholders back in the summer about the risk of delisting? Instead all they banged on about was cutting their salaries in half (deferring it). No mention of trying to raise more cash (they haven't even asked us) or this outcome.
Sorry Pearls, I can't see any return for shareholders not - this case is interesting because a while back I thought MA withdrew his claim(s)? If administration happens - MA will simply try to buy out the company/certain stores - why would he offer a cash price to delisted shares? Although this sorry episode is a lesson for us (not to believe RNSs or promises of takeovers until they actually happen) I do hope the company pulls though this dark period GL elsewhere
..then maybe the answer is for LSE admin to time limit how long a share thread can stay active after delisting. I would say a maximum of five years - because if nothing happens by then - nothing will. With CTAG there appears to be various rumours and things in the works - so no wonder the thread stays active - but a bit like the Loch Ness monster - we believe it but don't see it. So I would give this thread another year or two - then close it! (it can always be reactivated on relisting)
...and what's your excuse for posting here? Quite a few shareholders are probably perplexed by the fall - the trouble is, if you use a stop loss system (I tend to) then the further the share price falls - the more stop losses are triggered and hence the share falls further... this has obviously happened here... the only thing atm that will help the share price recover and sentiment improve - is 1-2 decent RNS updates. BB comments do zlitch... (to the share price imo).. I have seen this share at lows before and it recovered - I see no reason why this will not be the case again at some point - although it may be a while - indeed at this price if I had funds I personally would be buying like crazy but each to their own
Darren, people still post on MTV, CTAG and WRN to name a few shares that have been suspended for YEARS ... at least Debenhams is still on the high street - trading - so (ex) shareholders sadly may get a daily reminder that their investment went belly up ... which is a bit harder to take than when a company simply disappears... lets hope it never happens to you...
Serious question - how long are YOU prepared to wait? August 2020.. August 2021...August 2040!!!?? Thorpedog is just repeating what a few others have said - if there isn't news soon .. then the chances of relisting reduce significantly - if you disagree then say why!
RNS out. That's better... buying the other 50% of the bitcoin venture for £1 due to mismanagement of the partner... Hopefully the start of positive news flow....
Thought it was obvious. Spikeyj isn't s fan of AIM or companies that get suspended but continue to hold out hope of return as it's very rare any company does come back (unless it's a RTO, nomad or corporate event). However I do think it's "easy" to target these shares because anyone can trash a company in trouble...it harder actually to defend one of your investments that are not doing well - speaking from experience. So although I have no issue with this poster, I am not sure I have ever seen him posting on shares he holds. Happy to be corrected.
