The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! I DO get to be able to give my opinion about other posters agendas because its a discussion website ffs. You realise don't get it!?!? When you been on a thread for years - and a new poster appears - who just ramps AND large buys appear - any other poster has the right to ask them why they have suddenly appeared - your agenda over on Debenhams was to give the negative view because you were shorting the stock.
Why don't you read a few threads - then you will realise I am in the majority not the minority - posters attack posters all the time ffs - read the website and if you continue to make this personal I will report you again. Just filter me if I annoy you ok !!!!
BTW I am still waiting for your apology over on Debenhams - you were WRONG about the voting at the AGM - he was voted off the BoD but they kept him on as CEO... some people just cannot admit when they are wrong - not the type of posters (well shorters are such lovely people - not) who s/b listen to in the first place. Unless you have an opinion on MOS - then be a good guy and tell us were to short next as you seem to like bombed out shares..
You got me in rant mode now. For the record I ALWAYS post on shares I have HELD or HOLD .. Debenhams and Worthington included. I ONLY post on a "new" share if I am about to invest in it ok?
What's your reason then for appearing here? Bored and wanted to find were your old friends on Debenhams are posting? Grow up and get on your own threads.
Post reported - reason: stalking
Get a life Meta and actually post on shares YOU hold - unless you just short and no one will be shorting here.
For the record - I have held MOS (on and off) for several years AND if you read back a few days I am not the only poster having a good at the ultra ramper - who just appeared and started posting on one share - reminds me of someone else...
My point stands - there has been no RNS today. You are a NEW poster - did you have a prior ID? Just asking because MOS is not the type of share to attract new posters - and I am saying this as a long term holder. Personally I do feel the share price was oversold and might be worth a re-rate back to 0.4p but to go any higher will need a new contract etc. The risk of a placing is also obvious - I will continue to hold because for me it is not worth selling gla
The only issue I have with share issues is that more shares in issue may limit future upside. However, how else is a company suppose to expand or grow on this market? CLNs? If a placing is for a valid reason I am fine with it. If it's to pay director salaries - see elsewhere - I am not. Can we hope this is the last significant placing?
When did this happen because you have only made 42 posts - I guess only on here. No point being bitter and if you felt misled then go to the FCA and complain! Many AIM shares have pump and dump periods so let's not pretend MOS is an exception. Just a very good example.
Actually the 10th January AGM results RNS states that he was not re-elected to the Board. However the BoD decided to keep him on as CEO. So not sure were you got the 55% from? The previous AGM??
You know full well that the main investment managers holding shares in any company tend to make up the majority and will vote or abstain. Perhaps small shareholders should be required to vote. I am sure more PIs would have voted if it was clear he would get a £700k payoff. BTW I thought he was forced off the board? Therefore his terms of staying on as CEO should have been adjusted. It's almost as if this was planned.
Didn't you ramp PTV years ago? My point being we all ramp/support the shares we are invested in. Some perhaps a bit too much but just use the filter button if you don't like it!!
Agree with others - totally disgusting that the ex CEO is having a £700,000 (!!) pay off - which of course cannot be voted on by shareholders now.. why is it time and time again Directors get rewarded for failure? Can these people ever lose? Were's the risk for being in the top job(s) when the worse that can happen is that you get a years pay as compensation.. I bet the thousands of Debenhams employees soon to lose their jobs will not get a nice payoff - probably just the £525 per week per year employed redundancy pay - frankly, it stinks!
As far as I recall it was SOME of the trade credit insurance that was withdrawn - it happen around October/November time from memory - and Debenhams had extended repayment terms for some suppliers beyond 60 days - yes, of course it had an impact on cashflow but it goes nowhere to explaining why debt apparently doubled nor why the lenders were so eager to get the restructuring sorted - bonds were not due to 2021. It's a mystery and as far as shareholders accepting their losses - from previous experiences it takes time to accept this - it hurts when a company is still trading. Also it's clear that Mike Ashley has NOT accepted this - hence why others may still cling on to hope..
LOL well some posters still remain on the MTV-CTAG-WRN-QPP threads to name a few - because there will still be news/updates for a while yet - the company still trades - and Mike Ashley might go down the legal action route - agree not now worth posting day in day out but the occasionally look in is merited in case someone has some juicy gossip :-)
LOL I know.. I wondered if anyone could stop the mistake. Takes 7 minutes for light to travel from the sun to the earth. I didn't mention I was going the scenic route to Pluto first :-)
We have to remember - anyone can say literally anything online - it's hard to prove... I mean.. .... I am flying back from Mars tonight sub light speed - should take a few weeks.. hope the share price is higher by then :-))))))
Not me BUT I have been guilty in the past buying an AIM share in the morning and selling it later in the day - with fixed success - I guess the trader expected a spike ... I think we have gone past the spiking days here.. although the cuts are welcomed (just cut the salary don't defer it) - it is probably too little too late - how the company gets a fund raising at this price is an question i can't answer!
Perhaps look at CLP then - some bondholders have been prepared to exchange their debt for equity at a five fold premium to the share price at a fixed date - so sometimes bondholders do consider a haircut... also without equity .. would there be debt? (and visa versa). I understand your point and you made money here on your short but if the odds were against shorting (in a different reality) any share perhaps you might think a little differently and have some sympathy for shareholders here - ok there were plenty of warnings but most did not expect delisting to happen so soon did they? I personally thought administration would happen towards the end of the year if no improvement in trade - for whatever reason - it couldn't wait....
Well that would reduce the revenue of Hargreaves Lansdown and the like by 50% (just a guess) considering all the self invested SIPPs they administer - perhaps like when you need an IFA before transferring a pension - you should speak to an IFA or similar before making a share trade - at least over x value.
I sold out but still feel answers are needed - I am happy that the company continues trading but as we have seen - this has hit some posters really hard - they were not (necessarily) greedy - just felt the risks merited an investment..
Greedy landlords? Not really - but perhaps some landlords should acknowledge the environment has changed due to the move from brick and mortar to online. Debenhams leases are historic - if they go bust a new retailer will expect better terms than 25 year fixed going up by RPI every year won't they? Also Arcadia reckon their rents are 30% over the current market rate - they are entitled to ask for talks. Now the problem might be that some landlords also locked themselves in to long term finance arrangements and borrowing terms - which means they might find it hard to compromise.. so maybe all parties need to find a middle ground in view of such change in valuations ..??
